I finally came to you Facebook group 6/29/24 and drew portraits with others for a few minutes each. I also drew the Red monochromatic woman a few weeks ago not knowing it was your work. Wow...I found you as a teach and loved it. I will be back again.

Enjoyed this drawing session. I appreciate the three different drawing styles, especially drawing on lined paper. Since I draw on the typed pages of one specific book. I will draw one of the references in my unique sketch book.

Oh I’m glad you did too! This was a super fun session. I just love those reference photos! Did you have a fave?
@ducksoff72363 ай бұрын
Drawing bigger is much easier. Your accuracy automatically goes up as the size goes up. For example if you draw a head on a post-it-note if your eye placement is even a quarter millimeter off the whole face is off. Draw the same face on 11x14in. That quarter of a millimeter doesn't matter near as much anymore.
@DylanSara2 ай бұрын
Yeah that makes perfect sense! Particularly at the drawing stage. There are challenges scaling up any medium but it’s definitely part of the fun/challenge trying to figure out how materials behave at scale and how to best apply them.

Your class is EXCELLENT. Thank you so much for providing it, I'm thoroughly loving it so far. -- I'm wondering if you would consider a live where you do a few 30 second studies before building up to the 10 minutes? I unfortunately can't attend your weekly class due to the time difference and would love to see how your approach this. Thank you for all that you do. x

People must understand that the most important thing of all is to learn to observe carefully to understand shapes and represent them correctly from solid structures👍🤓
@DylanSara3 ай бұрын
yes understanding the way the 3d form is actually interacting with the light is super important. A great point to address in future. However not not having that understanding doesn't need to be an obstacle to getting started. Thanks for the comment!
