I mix all this together with different colored peppers, my own seasoning and olive oil and put them in the oven. I only have to stir them about three times. They come out beautifully brown without all those different steps! I don't use all that salt either because it causes high blood pressure and hardening of the arteries!

I’ve never left a comment on anything before but just wanted to say it works perfectly I did half the amount shown and cut down the microwave time by half as well definitely recommend people have a go at making this

This was always one of my favorite meals growing up. There were seven of us and my Mom would make a skillet full of this with one addition. She would take 8 or so eggs and beat them as if to scramble them and pour it over the top after everything was browned and my oh my, it was gone in seconds. The skillet would be so heavy I remember her carrying it over to the table using both hands. I sure miss my Mom and I sure do miss my childhood. I was very lucky. Thank you for posting this. I am going to make it this weekend.

Browning your food to me is the most important part of making a tasty delicious meal any meat then slow cooking it like you did gets it super soft so I wouldn’t change nothing you did if anything a couple eggs on top and bam done but great job I will try this 👍🏼

Mom would cook this several times a month; when she was diagnosed with Sundowners I was chief cook and bottle washer. Of course, she forgot she used to cook it, I told her I learned from the best cook and pointed at her 😌 I miss my Mom; shes been gone 14 years

@@judiezell4306 patients tend to get anxiety attacks right around sundown; I can’t tell you how many times I caught Mom trying to get out of bed, saying she had to go home where she grew up, I’d tell her I’ll take when it’s daytime. We’d go through this maybe five times a night. Doctors say Sundowners is the beginning of Alzheimer’s; I’m just glad she isn’t suffering anymore.

Hey honey.. first, thank you for watching. I appreciate you. ☺️ And, normally my ingredients and measurements are in my description box under each video. But with the shorts, they’re also in my description - but they are a little more tricky to find. Sorry about that, that’s KZfaq. Lol So next to the short you’ll find in the upper right hand corner, 3 dots… click on that and you’ll see a list of stuff, click on “description” and it’ll pull it up. Hope that helped. I’ve copied them and put them here for you. Hope you love these as much as I do. 🤍 Ingredients & measurements: Bake @ 350 for 25 minutes, or until golden brown. Everyone’s oven is different, so keep an eye on them. ☺️ Scones: 2 cups of all-purpose flour (plus more for rolling) 1/2 cup of sugar 2 & 1/2 tsp of baking powder 1/2 teaspoon of salt (I use pink Himalayan, Kosher works as well) 1 stick of butter, frozen (grated) (I use salted) 1/2 cup of buttermilk, plus 2 tbsp for brushing tops of scones, prior to baking. 1 large egg 2 tsp of vanilla extract 2 cups of fresh blueberries 1 tsp of lemon zest 1/2 tsp of orange zest Glaze: 1 - 2 cups of powdered sugar & a few tbsp of lemon juice - fresh or bottle. (I eyeball this until it’s the consistency I want) Enjoy! 😊
