I hope that one day I get to visit the Salem Witch Museum I'm also thinking about going to the Salem Witch Memorial site in Danvers The history of Witchcraft Paranormal Activity and other Supernatural things really caught my attention! Being the historian that I am, i have to be honest, it is interesting! fascinating! Yes, tragic... But Amazing! I just can't get enough of it On a serious note, I would like to say rest in peace to the 20 + who died during the Salem Witch Trials of 1692! they DID NOT deserve to be falsely accused! they were all INNOCENT in God's eyes they had families, they have lives, children, loved ones, everything! No matter if they was poor, middle-class, or wealthy, NONE of those victims deserved wrongful executions because the lying, paranoid, "afflicted" girls and the Justice System SCREWED THEM OVER this conspiracy of witchcraft!

I hope you included images from "The Evolution of Ahab" by artist Gilbert Wilson (1907 - 1991), a series of paintings circa 1950, showing Ahab's descent into madness.

I have exactly the same tie as our host. I’m looking forward to seeing this exhibit in the near future. I’ve been researching witchcraft in Connecticut for years but haven’t been to this museum. Excellent stuff. Thanks.

Stupendous! I had never seen or heard a carillon before! The internet is a wonderful thing. Boudewijn Zwart is a master whom I hope has students so that he may pass along this talent. Thanks also to Chip Van Dyke for bringing this into my life. I am richer for it.

Interesting remarks, but you shouldn't talk about how surprising a painting made in the late 1950's would be in the 1940's, because it would have been impossible to make it in the 1940's. Also, we should remember that Hofmann didn't teach painting at his school. He taught drawing only. (Though he did let the kids paint in Provincetown in the summer.) His best paintings by far he made in 1958 and 1959 only AFTER he closed his school. I'm not sure Stella realizes this.

Hi Jared: Erpornis is from the Greek 'herpo' meaning creep about and 'ornis' which means bird. So not unlike the Go-away birds in Africa Asia has the White-bellied Creep-about Bird!

Really nice. I have never heard a caroleur, much less seen the player perform as I listened to the bells. More exciting than watching a bell choir perform. Thank you for this video and wonderful listening experience. Very much up to the PEM standard of excellence.

When I was a kid many years ago, our church group visited a cathedral that had a carillon. We got up in the tower and watched it being played, very much like this. There was also a practice keyboard so that you won't embarrass yourself to the whole city. 60 years ago, still remember it clearly. We also got inside the wind chests of the organ.

Today you have to be living under a rock to not know that witchcraft is an actual thing and has many forms, even if you don’t believe in, it it is clearly out there and openly practiced.

Ive cast lead-free Brittania metal into plaster piece molds back in the 1990s, I did the whole process in a round-about way due to the fact I was casting complex, fragile, standing dogs about 6-7" tall and didnt want to mess with attachments. I cast wax in the plaster piece molds to send in to cast in bronze, and I cast the Brittania metal as well but at home. I had original plasticene models from which I took a multi-piece plaster mold from, then made rubber molds of each of those plaster pieces so i could simply cast new waste molds at will. I used a 50/50 plaster and fine sand mix to cast into the rubber molds, soaped the casts when they came out of the molds, assembled them and poured my hot wax in. Some of the plaster pieces came right off, but due to undercuts some didnt- thus the soft plaster/sand pieces that were stuck on due to that were very easy to drill a hole thru them and break them apart without damaging the delicate wax cast inside. The 50/50 plaster/sand waste mold of one dog model was also used to cast the Brittania metal in after the plaster was completely dry, and then place in my oven at a couple hundred degrees at most to heat it up and make SURE it was dry. Once I had the metal melted on the stove, the hot mold was pushed into a bucket full of sand to support it upright and I poured the metal in- probably about 7-8 pounds each. In fact I am shortly going to cast a plaster waste mold maybe this weekend of my German Shepherd model which i only had one cast in bronxe in 1992 but kept the 5 molds for it all these years because I want to get one cast in bronze for myself now.

Murphys oil soap works, but tincture of green soap is much better, brushing on a few applications of it on the plaster and nothing is going to stick to it.

That is so ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! I can well imagine how much you love it. That color is MAGNIFICENT too! The only thing that made me sad was the mention of the old geezer in Marble Head, Massachusetts who said "he had to get rid of it". (We BOTH know WHY... Don't we). The poor old geeze must have been rolling in the street as he watched it drive away.😢 Who's got that burden NOW? I'd BEG you for it, but I'm an "OLD GEEZE" myself NOW! (I can't take it with me either)! You need to find some VERY consciences YOUNG MAN who can love it and TAKE CARE off it properly as you have. I know you will.

i been living, birding in Taiwan for my whole life, and also do guide work from time to time, i must say this is a great video if you are coming to Taiwan for birding, still highly recommend to get a guide, driving in Taiwan is very different from NA, so if you don't have experience driving in east asia i will recommend at least go for a professional driver if not a bird guide or if you don't have long time to visit or your budget didn't allow for guide and car etc, you can still get to tons of beautiful places and do some great birding just by public transport, go to Taipei and let eBird and google map lead the way, Taipei's public transport is top notch, on par or even better in some way than places like Tokyo or Seoul, and very friendly to english speaker but once you are out of the big city, the public transport option become a lot harder, the coverage is still good but frequency will get lower and lower, makes it a lot less convenient and in 2023 the list of endemic bird species increase to 32, but don't plan on getting all of them in one go, Taiwan have very strict restrictions on feeding and call playback(basically not allow) and many endemic are shy mountains birds which need a bit of luck and some waiting, so birds like Taiwan shortwing, cupwing, Black-necklaced scimitar babbler etc could be hard to get if you only have a few days, most people i meet will miss a few if they only have few days or a week, but most of them can get all of the endemic on their 2nd or 3rd visit
