Hello Beth, it's great to see you reacting to Band Maid again so soon. The lyrics were written by Saiki for this song, usually Miku writes almost all of the lyrics for their songs and sometimes Saiki would help or make suggestions from time to time. Saiki did write the lyrics for "Corallium" and "Hate?" in 2022, but those were the first times she did more than make suggestions, so writing lyrics is still kind of new for her. I agree with you about the lyrics, they aren't quite as good as Band Maid usually is with lyrics. Saiki has been taking on a more active role within the band the last few years, and I think this was part of that. Nemophila has been busy reworking their old songs since Saki left the band so they can be played using only one guitar and the bass. They have been posting a lot of new videos lately, mostly stuff shot in studio. Haraguchi on bass and Hazuki on guitar have had to really work hard to fill the spaces left from Saki's absence, and they are doing really well at it. NEK! also released a new video today and it reminds me a little bit of Gacharic Spin. East of Eden just released a new video too. Hagane finally released a new video after the breakup of the band when three members left them last year. I was shocked to see they recruited Junna to be their new drummer. Please take care and have a wonderful week.

from JAPAN. Thank you so much for reacting to BAND-MAID over the years. Don't worry, I don't think any real fan of BAND-MAID would blame you. Even if BAND-MAID doesn't have a bad song., whether you like them or not is another matter.Nothing is 100% perfect. I think you should continue to react as you have in the past, and be honest with yourself.

Love that you're respectful and honest, got a sub for that. Wasn't my favorite song, not crazy about the lyrics, but it has a vibe and the more listen the more I dig it. I get where you are coming from and totally respect you were honest about it. Keep being you and most of us will keep tuning in, thanks again.

You are absolutely right - simple lyrics, fun groove with great musicianship. It's what was needed and nothing more. Excellent reaction in my opinion. Thank you, Beth.

Beth, It hurts me a little when I see you having to defend your honest opinion so much here. I think you're a great reactor, honest, gentle and always respectful towards the musicians, even if you don't like something. All the many B-M fans I know don't have any problems with honest opinions, which is where most of them get picky - myself included - when reactors who don't know what they're talking about insult the band or individual members like "bad guitarist" or "singer expressionless like from a wedding band" or simply "bad band". A few don't know the obvious difference between honest and insulting. But that’s clearly and obviously not the case with you, which is why I'm a little sad that you have to defend yourself. Keep it up, you're a wonderful reactor. For the song, it's a pump-up song for a live audience and it works. At the Gigantic Rock Festival in Osaka, a huge crowd was jumping to the song. B-M did everything right again, but it's still another great song just for listening too IMHO and gets better every time you listen to it. Not as deep as other B-M songs, but still a lot better than a lot of what's being produced today; a real party cracker. Take care, stay true to yourself and don't let yourself be bullied by a few shrunken heads. Rock on and cheers, kind of a Beth fan from 🇨🇭😊

While you're young, I'm glad you were sitting down when you reacted to "Magie". I made the mistake of watching it on my phone while I was standing. I'm 75 and old geezers should not be standing when they hear it. You unconsciously start moving, then dancing around like a fool teenager(especially when you're a fool old man). My reaction to "Magie" now is "Ow, ow,ow!" My back hurts, my knees hurt, every muscle in my body aches. After that, I had to take some pain meds, then sat in a hot bath, and then went to bed. They should have a warning label attached to the video stating "Caution, viewing while standing may be hazardous to your health!" I do think you would react to another Band-Maid song that is a different sound that is more jazzy, bluesy, and poppish. The song is "Wonderland", the officlal live video.

Great reaction beth. As the other friend said Black Ice is a killer, and more chaotic than this. But also try 'im ready to die for my friends'. Different but exceptional. A bit like Hanabie with Matsuri being the key composer, DaiDai does same for Paledusk, is an interview somewhere where he talked about creating the music to use Masato's voice, he's a clever one. He also produced some songs from Bring me the Horizon too!

Hello Beth, I hope you are having a wonderful day. It's great to see you reacting to our favorite Maids again. You probably already know, but the Maids released a new video last Saturday, "Magie" is the name. I'm expecting them to drop more videos soon since they have a new album coming out in late September. They have been busy on tour in Japan, so they haven't made any recent announcements about touring outside of Japan yet. Please take care and have an amazing week.

Beth, I'm glad you're back reacting to Band-Maid. They make so many great songs that anime and feature film producers love them. "Protect You" is a song for the remake of Grendizer U, which was popular in the West in the 80's, including France. Many people think that the "Ou lalas" are French. I don't believe so. I think they're Maid-Speak for "WE'RE GONNA KICK YOU ASS!!!!!" If you haven't reacted to it yet, "Unleash" is an anime song with the Maids as the main characters. It's great music and visually awesome. Many Band-Maid fans wanted the Maids to do a full length anime featuring them as the characters. Also, the official live video of "Unleash" from their 10th Anniversary Tour finale is amazing.

Thanks for checking out Justice! Like you OOTD took me a few listens before I was able to jive with the song and the album but Virtuous and Justice were all bangers on the first listen for me. If you've not checked out the album yet you should react to it as well. Also, there's a live showcase for Justice and 2 Rings (one of the b-sides) that are both really good. They're both on the DC YT channel.

There's no denying the virtuosity of all of the band members, but this seems to me to be a bit disjointed, like speed metal meets circus music, but somewhat incomplete and not fully fleshed out. For some fun, check out their cover of Dirty Loops cover of Hikaru Utada's "Automatic".

"KOIAI"を漢字で書くと、おそらく「恋愛」。通常は「ren ai(れんあい)」と読むところを、あえて「koi ai(こいあい)」にしたのではないかなァと勝手に考えています。
