Thanks for the reaction. HAGANE has been around for a while but 3 members left about a year ago, the lead singer, drummer and another guitarist. Only the bass player and Sakura the guitarist stayed, this is their new lineup with new singer and Junna the energizer bunny on the drums.

Man, you rule! Thanks so much for checking this out! I grew up in the last time period where rock and metal where still Top 40 music... and it will always be my favorite music. It's thrilling to see classic bands like Blind Guardian reach a whole new generation of fans through KZfaq. Like Hansi says, we must ignite and let it shine!

This is a good performance from night 2 of their 50th anniversary shows back in September 2022. The guitarist situated right of middle is Albert Bouchard, the original drummer who left back in 1981. His brother Joe was the original bass player, and wrote and sang lead vox on this song until he left in 1986. Apparently he was not able available for these shows, but Richie fills in nicely on lead vox.

@@guitaristreacts from different interviews I saw with Joe, he left in ‘86 so he could do different things. Wanted to play guitar, for one, but when you have Buck Dharma in your band, not much room for another lead guitar. And when he joined the band they needed a bass, and he ended up doing that for his whole tenure. At the time he left, it was just him and Buck and Eric from the original lineup, and they were definitely on a downturn after Club Ninja. He just quickly moved on to other things, so when the band got back together after Imaginos, he was not involved. Allowed him to teach and eventually move on to solo projects. I always liked his contributions to the band as some of my favorite songs are his, and his solo stuff is pretty good too. Would’ve been great to have him “sit in” for these shows so he could sing his songs, but at least Albert was there.

The melodic lines of the keyboard, over the top of the guitar riffs is very much an Epica signature which is one of the things that makes them stand out for me. This is from 2006 and is the original Epica lineup. The drummer, lead guitarist and bass changed to the current lineup over the next few years. Simone was 21 here and at the end of her classical training. In this part of her career, she would often switch in and out of her classical and pop/rock styles during songs. I feel she was not confident with the identity of her non-classical voice. That developed over time and now she does not mix the two as much, only where it is appropriate. I do know Simone does not like how she sang back in the early days. Her transformation over the years has been astonishing.

When you say intonation I think you mean key. This song has a lot of key changes or modulations. Intonation refers to whether they are playing out of tune.

Epica live is really impressive. Very executed transitions, heavy and melodic in the same time… from classic to melodic death in minutes 🔥 Highly recommended another from their heavy stuff. Victims of contingency or the obsessive devotion from omega alive next 🎸 🎻

The "some kind of Indian guitar" you are hearing in the background is actually a combination of two instruments: a koto (Japanese zither, a harp-like instrument, but with a bolder sound) and a shamisen (Japanese banjo).

A super group in action. Li-Sa X (child prodigy; Lead Guitar), Hazuki (guitarist "Nemophila"), Kanade Soto (child prodigy; Drums), Kotono ( former vocalist Iron Bunny) and a guest bassist from the group "East of Eden" Wakazamon. Li-Sa is the main song writer and is only 19-20 in age. This song is probably their hardest to date.

Sorry if this is posted more than once, but I am having problems posting with Firefox and had to switch to Chrome. Thank you for reaction to this man, I think the dog looks more grumpy than cute LOL. If you are up for another one you can try Sokoninaru with their song Tenohira De Odoru. I think the reason for the lack of subs for KOIAI is because they have recently re-branded. They used to be called the LISA-X band, that's the guitarist on the right name. She used to be a KZfaq sensation when she was like 11-years for her shredding skills. Their previous vocalist left the band and that is when they changed there name to KOIAI. The other guitarist is Hazuki from Nemophila the other band you reacted too. Have a great rest of the day man.

LOVEBITES - Nameless Warrior [live] lyrics: This is it, Living under the destiny to fight My doubts layin' silent in past Arm myself, I am ready to take the step into enemies Will you give it up? What do you feel under the darkness? I search for light that I have never seen, Stare inside, I know it's somewhere Glorious innocence shined by the moonlight This is the beginning They will not see me surrender Bringing back memories I'll never let it go Now is the time we'll never forget Nameless warrior Hide the light that I found in my path I call it ''faith'' for now That is all left for me Shivering, too afraid of the night but I believe myself This is up to me [!] The truth and lies are in the mirror I search for light that I have never seen Stare inside, I know it's somewhere Glorious innocence shined by the moonlight This is the beginning They will not see me surrender Take my hand, I'll be there and never let it go Now is the time we'll never forget Nameless warrior No time for looking in past now Fears vanishing into the sky... SOLOs: Broken piece of a soul Never heal in the rain And will there be end to this? Flaming up inside of me Giving me insanity The memories fading in my head and now I'm fallin' SOLO: both What do you feel under the darkness? I search for light that I have never seen Stare inside, I know it's somewhere Taking step the way I believe Glorious innocence shined by the moonlight This is the beginning They will not see me surrender Bringing back memories I'll never let it go Now is the time we'll never forget Nameless warrior ----- lyrics: asami music: asami, midori, miyako, haruna & Mao album: In The Beginning 2017 - 2021
