I know this video is old. This concept looks very similar to a Sanborn Min Max 17* skid angle, that was first manufactured in 1983!

You are correct on the Sanborn Min Max, this was introduced in the early 80's and the concept has been around for a long time. Cleereman Industries introduced the Lumber Pro in 2010, which is a similar concept to Sanborn, but greatly improved. We use a much larger saw for increased production and the Lumber Pro comes as a complete unit that includes everything from the Log Deck, Sub-steel, Waste System, Carriage, Cab, Controls, and Belt. The Lumber Pro is set up, run, and tested at our factory for quick & easy installation at the mill site. The Cleereman Lumber Pro is patented and has been a huge success. Customers like it as a primary break-down machining center. The thin kerf double cut band allows for all breakdown to be done on one machine and eliminates the need for a secondary breakdown. If you would like more information on our Lumber Pro system please check out our website at www.cleereman.com. Thanks for viewing!

Thank you for sharing your story. Truly inspirational. I drive past one of your sites in Hustonville, KY. As a first-generation custom cabinetmaker 21 years, I am always intrigued and curious where the material I use comes from and how it ends up on my tables. As for retirement, I share the same sentiments. It ain't a job. Thanks again.

Very efficient machine cuts in both directions saving time and it is cutting both directions instead of just moving back and forth without doing any work. Uses a thinner cutting blade than a circular blade so you will get more boards and less sawdust. Uses a third of the power of a circular sawmill and the whole setup takes up less space than a circular sawmill.

@jamessimmons1888
@jamessimmons1888 2 жыл бұрын
Very nice sawmill and efficient. Everytime the cutting head is moving, not having to return to the end of the log for a new cut. Also should have a slight increase in lumber production and less wasted sawdust.

Not to mention less power required and a more compact machine taking up less space.

Very efficient machine, cuts in both directions saving time and wasted energy for returning the cutting head to the starting position. Plus the kerf of the cutting blade is less than a circular saw blade so more boards and less waste to sawdust.

So what's the second head for? With this video it seems rather pointless.
@jamessimmons1888
@jamessimmons1888 2 жыл бұрын
That's what I 🤔 think too, haven't seen it used for nothing but eating up power running it and not doing any work. Just extra weight and upkeep when you have the other head doing all the work.
@CommiesAreEvil

@@jamessimmons1888 Yeah, it's not like with a pole peeler where you have (on some manufacturer's models) a roughing head and a finishing head.

Why would you want to fire someone who is doing a good job. He,s not rough on the equipment and is putting out very good production. I 🤔 think it's because he's working on a competitors sawmill equipment. 😂.

Very efficient sawmill, cuts both directions saving time and wasted energy in moving the saw head back and forth without cutting on the return. Also thin kerf so you can recover more wood and less wasted to sawdust.

How often do they have to change or sharpen the blade?
@CleeremanIndustries
@CleeremanIndustries 3 жыл бұрын
The saw change interval depends on the quality of log that you are sawing. Most mills run theses saws about 4-5 hours before they change them and some will run for an entire 8 hour shift before changing the saw.
