In the last 5 years, accessibility has become a hot topic in music education. Any system that utilizes color this extensively is sure to fail with the vast majority of music teachers. It excludes anyone who cannot see color, or even people like myself with minor color-related visual impairment. In fact, it isn't even the first time color has been proposed for notation (check out Tantacrul's video on Notation). If you are worried about the 'wider adoption' of this notation (as the video suggests), there MUST be a symbolic representation and those symbols must be given braille counterparts.

I watched the video where you compared the Linnstrument, Seaboard Rise, and Continuum, and found it very insightful. I'm currently planning a setup for professional microtonal music production and would love to get your advice. My idea is to use the Lumatone for its precise microtonal harmonic capabilities. For the more expressive and individual parts, I'm considering either the Linnstrument, the Seaboard Rise, or the Continuum. I'm looking for an instrument that can add maximum expressivity (like a violin or trumpet) but also handle different microtonal intervals effectively. Based on your experience, which of these instruments would you recommend for this purpose? Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Dolores, I hope this message finds you well. I am a passionate follower of your work in microtonal music. Your compositions have been a huge inspiration to me, and I deeply admire your innovative approach and creativity. I am currently exploring microtonal music myself and am eager to learn more about the instruments and techniques that you use in your compositions. If you have any recommendations or insights for someone looking to delve deeper into microtonal music, I would greatly appreciate it. I hesitate between the linnstrument, the lumatone and the continuum from haken. Additionally, I would love to know more about your process and any advice you might have for aspiring microtonal composers. Your guidance would mean a lot to me as I continue my musical journey. Thank you for your incredible contributions to the world of microtonal music. I look forward to hearing from you.

You are unique. When I am tired of mainstream new "expérimental" music I type your name on youtube...and you play straight to my Heart. in few seconds. You are the best microtonal music composer. It is always new, fresh, without any limit and very easy to listen ! How can you do that so easily. Please go on, you fingers put pure magic in our lives. We need more ✨ Thank you so much

This is the sound I have been looking for in my synths. I can get these microtones on wind and string instruments, but electronic instruments have been too rigid until now. I have a lot of hope in MPE and the growing variety of microtonal/alternative controllers that blur the lines between keyboards and other instruments.
Thanks for continuing to upload, I get reminded of your music every few months without fail and come back to go through your work. My favorite microtonal artist.

Wonderful on so many levels. The pitches & intervals are ear-melting, the innovation is compelling, the explanations are contagiously passionate, even the camera work effectively brings a fresh eye. But what is going on with the tease about the instrument with hexagonal keys - the U-234 or whatever those numbers were?? WHY DIDN’T YOU PLAY IT? Very frustrating. You point to it, you create a name for its special quality (‘poly-chromatic,’ an existing term that already means something other than your new but incompletely explained coinage), you describe its features with a non-universal jargon which begs to be demonstrated, you PUT YOUR HANDS ON IT, and then skip to its sister instrument, with what appears to be a very different key layout. I’m … unsatisfied and disappointed. My reaction feels like anger, which is inappropriate, but wow, I wish you could see this from a viewer’s perspective. We are not all synesthetic, or at least not all in the same way, and we DO NOT AUTOMATICALLY KNOW what you mean by combining note names and color names on the hexa-key thing- just PUSH THE BUTTON right under your finger and clue us in. If the thing can’t play or isn’t hooked up, skip it - put a nice blanket over it.

So helpful to see this as someone considering getting a microtonal instrument. I find there is very little in the way of video demonstrations/comparisons/reviews of these except for directly from the company itself.

The thing I find so amazering is that rhythms emerge out of the interference patterns of each harmonic. Each frequency uniquely creates a polyrhythm as it harmonizes. What a time to be alive.

Loving finding Lumatone, the Bosanquet-Wilson isomorphic keyboard, and your presentation! Would be helpful to flip the video from above when you are playing to show keyboard from your perspective (i.e. right side up) to also see the patterns as you do ;)
