I have a Dachsund/minpin. His name is Nerd. He’s a Jerk but I love him. Because he’s a crossbreed, I don’t know weather his weenie side or minpin side is the true troublemaker. He’s only a year and 3 months so maybe he will grow out of his evil ways.

I had a male Dachshund in 1972. He lived to be 23 years old. He put me through high school and was old enough to meet and play with my son who was born in 1985. He AKC , Edgar's Barney Boy, son of Garder's Miss Pepper and Red Baron Boy. Red with a black streak down his back. The love he shared with my brother and I was the kindest love I ever felt. He knew when we were not feeling well or unhappy, snuggling beside us. When we happy, we all had a ball, literally. Barney got my Brother and I, God bless both theirs souls through three tours in Vietnam by my Father and beyond. My Father has Dementia now but he still remembers Barney.❤

We’re on our sixth Doxie, one boy and five girls. They have all been wonderful fur babies and at one time we had sisters. I definitely recommend having two at once; if possible, they are such good friends. They are good guardians, no one can surprise you!

I have had 12 and the females have all been in charge except 1, she is a longhair. The males were sweet except for 2 which were total wimps, mama’s boy’s! I learned the hard way however to buy from a well known breeder for health reasons. My last two who are now 7 yrs. Are healthy and beautiful dogs. I loved them all mind you and was blessed to have the money for health care. I did have one smooth female and she was very aggressive to the other dogs. I was lucky and found a new home with a lady that no longer had kids at home or other dogs. The doxie had to be put up when grandkids visited though. She was a good dog with adults though. When the lady died in bed she wouldn’t let the EMT’S anywhere near the lady so the daughter came and got her and gave her a home with her. So the doxie was blessed a third time to my relief.

We have a female dappled daschund she is so stubborn and thinks putting her harness on is a great game and hides when it's got out yet loves walks, which at the moment I can't do after major hip surgery and arthritis in the other and both knees. Recently a young boy asked if he could walk her his mum said she'd be with him so I agreed now she gets really excited when they turn up.

Wow people may not like the comparison but these dogs history are very similar to the American pitbull. Both are hearrding dogs or work dogs. Both are devoted loving protectors and both are highly intelligent athletes. I love the American pitbull they are my choice but my daughter wants a Belgian. I have raised sleds dogs and service dogs and the pitbull is by far my favorite dog but I really like these dogs so I wouldn't mind being grandpa to a Malanois.

I've had males and females in other breeds and I favor female dogs. I've noticed they are definitely more protective naturally and are a lot more focused.

I am on my third dachshund so far. All three have been miniature female Smooth haired dachshunds.

I want both someday. Brown female and black male or black and tan male. Maybe add a mini as well. They're cute dogs. Gotta have at least a few someday. I want so many different types of doggos. They're all so cute!

We love our mini labradoodle. She has such a personality, is eager to please, and highly intelligent. She was so easy to train and loves our grandkids.

My Bichon lived to be 16.5 years old. I loved that dog and he was devoted to me. The only problem was he did not like other dogs. He was like that as a puppy and got worse the older he got. That said he was a loyal loving dog and its been almost a year since he has been gone. We have a Malshi and he is awesome...he loves people and dogs and life is a bit easier. ❤❤❤

My females shed 247 I was told it was going to be 2 times a year that was a lie 😂 but I don't mind it

I recommend you to have guppies or red eared sliders or crested gecko over any breed of dogs Dogs are beautiful creature It would definitely cure your mental sickness But they don't last for long time They have to return to heaven when their mission of saving you from depression is over It would very hard for you to move on from then

My first Husky picked up the nickname Hudini. She broke out of every cage, kennel, and yard she met.

My maltipoo is 16 yrs old. He is so affectionate. He has lost his hearing but is still alert.

Our chi Timmy likes to share his food :) Takes 1 or 2 pieces of dry food, and brings it up to me or my son's bed. He does it with treats too ! He gets a treat, walks to my son crying he needs to look, not eat but he can look, and then he eats it :)
