I'm knitting on a pieced aran sweater from a vintage pattern for my dad. He was diagnosed with multiple myeloma earlier in the year. He really feels the cold and loves his hand knit sweaters. So lots of woolly 'hugs' are coming his way 😊

The baptism dress is gorgeous. I love the family tradition, it’s priceless. You have so many fabulous FOs & WIPs for you & Nelli, I’m totally in awe of your knitting! As a newby knitter I’ve found out the hard way that squishy baby alpaca can be irritating when I used it to make a Sophie scarf. I ended up sewing some fabric on the inside of the scarf so it doesn’t touch the front of my neck. It’s a shame about your sweater as the high neck is lovely & cosy. Perhaps go the v-neck to avoid the itch. Best wishes 🧶

Inga, this was lovely to catch up with you. That red Lola dress is everything!!❤❤❤ I love that I get to hear updates about Nellie and her handknit wardrobe is fabulous😎 I think I’ve seen in some sweater patterns where they will add some purl stitches along the sides as a design feature, but it also hides the jog when you color change for your stripes at the BOR.

I love, love your podcast but there was something off with this episode as your sound did not match your lips. I don’t know what causes this.

Ditto all the positive comments below - very well said....lovely knits as always. One thought about the sweater (sage green and white that your neck is allergic to). I vote for wet blocking first before frogging.......IF that doesn't work, consider knitting a triangular piece as a barrier to the alpaca. Tack the triangle down at its points so it will stretch like the sweater when you put it on over your head and will not slip around. (Assume the back of your neck is not allergic). I hope you can avoid frogging - it is a gorgeous sweater - love the design and color choice. Sending you happy yarny vibes from Michigan.

Wonderful episode. I love the baptismal dress….My mom passed mine down (it was sewn by my grandmother) and I love and cherish it ❤❤. Beautiful pieces, can’t wait until next episode to see the progress you made. I hope you’re enjoying your maternity leave and all the cuddles from baby girl.

Always a pleasure sitting and knitting while watching your podcast! Thank you so much for another lovely one ❤ That red dress is beautiful on you! 💃 You mentioned eventually making a video on creating knits based on the yarns in stash/you want to use, and sharing the math to do so : I would LOVE that! I'm a fairly new knitter and am constantly learning about gauge and what to do when it doesn't match the pattern (which in my case is pretty much always).

Hi Inga. I am knitting a blanket for myself now with sections of different colors with leftover of Rios yarn. I am almost finished with it, and it is in garter stitch, and it feels so good to cover myself sitting on the couch. Your knits for your baby daughter are beautiful that your granddaughter knitted for you when you were a child. Take Care. 😊

Hi Inga. My daughter, her husband and three grandchildren were in Iceland and Norway (mostly Norway) where my Son-in-Law was born and lived, before marrying my daughter and moving to America, and they visited his family and had a party for his Dad who turned 80. I wish I could have gone with them, but they were short of space and I don’t like flying. I finished knitting a blanket for my 19 year old granddaughter in sections of purple and white for her college where she is going for her second year to learn nursing. Your knits are amazing, and your red top is beautiful. I learned to knit by my Mom as a kid and I learned to crochet later on in life and I have done needlepoint for years in my younger years, and all the pictures I made in Needlepoint are hanging throughout my house, and I enjoy looking at them. I enjoy knitting now for the last three years every day, but I don’t do complicated patterns like you. Congratulations on having your baby girl. I wish her health and all the best ALWAYS. The same goes for you and all your family. Take Care. 😊

Dear Inga, thanks for taking the time to record and show us all the lovely things you are knitting. Currently I am knitting myself the Agave pullover by Yumiko Alexander. It's knitted flat which I don't mind. This way it will be easier to block the lace parts properly. 😀

Hey Inga, the red dress is incredible gorgeous! 🤩 How about for the mindless stockinette knitting pleasure, you re-visit your black cumulus tee that you wanted to turn into a short dress anyway, if I remember correctly? 😊 I am currently knitting on another summer shirt because of the heat. I am really looking forward to autumn! And yes LOTR is definitely a fall cozy movie series! 🧡🤎

Your Lola dress is beautiful! And I love the Charlie for Nellie too! I thoroughly enjoyed this long episode, and I really appreciate that you don't stress too much about there being some interruptions. Life happens, always, and I'd much rather get to knit with you more often, than to wait until there is time with no interruptions (does such a time ever happen??). 💖I would love an episode on making sweaters with yarn on hand. I have done this some, and had pretty good results, but could definitely use ideas and tips. I am working on The Article by Kate Davies. I just got started on it. I'm using yarn from my stash though (with the exception of getting a little more J&S color 202 for the neutral). Lastly, I vote for frogging your herringbone jumper (or maybe giving it a wide-ish crew neck?). It is gorgeous, but wearing something that prickles isn't fun. And it is hard to wear a turtleneck high enough to block the pricklies. Didn't mean to write a novel for a comment, but I'm not going to apologize. Thank you!!

Thank you Inga. Another great episode packed with beautiful knits, yarns and inspiration! Your dress is stunning! Nellie is a lucky little girl. The Herringbone sweater is beautiful, perhaps a modified neckline or if that doesn't feel good, a slipover as the herringbone pattern and yarn colours are perfect. Good luck!
