They need to and will find their warrior gene for more than just sports. The govt and the elite are doing great harm to the people if the world and these people will be a huge part of the answer to this abuse. God bless the Polynesian peoples of the Pacific.

Guys I’m committed to the Hawaiian warriors for college football and I’m scared I can’t do the haka
@YoJaychill9 ай бұрын
They’ll teach you and if they don’t just watch this video and practice I know the UH haka and the highschool I’m in, Kahuku you’ll get it and I’ll love to see you play next time I go to the game 💯🤙
I pray that Joe Biden must watch Polynesians do the Haka until he cries. Then be required to do the Haka until exhaustion. And I’m only saying exhaustion because he’s the president. He laughed at Hawaii burning alive.

A lot of Cultural gatekeepers here, let alone racists in the comment thread. No wonder Hawa'iian polynesia and pocketed polynesian cultures are falling off the rails.

I always like hearing the origin stories of the Haka. I'm a bit of a history nerd btw. 🤓🤓🤓

This haka is from the tribe of ngāti kahungunu in Hawkes Bay New Zealand. And was composed by waimarama puhara for his son to tell him to "do what is right" hence the phrase "Tika tonu". Therefore it should be performed in the right setting or to a male. I am Maori of Ngāpuhi and Ngāti Kahungunu ki porangahau decent. I love our culture both as māori and kanaka maōli being expressed. Just bare in mind to be appropriate to the culture it hails from.

When someone visited the village a Haka was performed and it served two purposes, as welcome... and as warning. Powerful warriors live here, behave yourself.

they are disrespecting our culture, they are saying all the words wrong and we only do haka for respected members of our culture, they steal it and disrespect our culture, this is special to us and this is seen as worse than murder breaking our sacred practice

This nice and all. But the HAKA is a New Zealand thing, not Hawaiian!
@Mario-fq9lh2 жыл бұрын
And the Hawaiians wanna talk about cultural appropriation. The Haka is unique to the Māori
