Would it be possible to remove relays for pumps and bridge relay sockets in order to prime fuel filter?
@abpsd73 Жыл бұрын
Doing it at the relay panel is much easier. I'm not sure about the 2012 that's on this video, but I jumpered the fuel pump relays on my 2009 Jetta to purge the system, 2 relays in the dash relay center.

My x73 fans are noisy and even my pump makes a horrible rattle nzxt and asetek are shite as an aio maker
@brianjensen62462 жыл бұрын
This was very helpful, I just today did the filter change and primed the system with this method. It worked well to use 2 female spade-type connectors 7/64" wide, as used in auto stereo systems. They are insulated and crimp on to the jumper wires. Just be sure to observe polarity at the auxiliary pump near the filter. One long wire to the rear pump is enough, as there already is a ground there, and the positive (blue/red) wire can be tapped at the top of the pump cover under the seat. No need to remove the cover, and I left a pigtail hanging out of the edge of the seat. No need to remove the seat next time, makes it more conducive to changing the fuel filter as often as I really should! Thanks!

Many thanks for the recommendation. One of the stock fans in my NZXT developed an extremely annoying rattle after only 4 months and on top of that there was some resistance in the spinning, def not good for temps

I have the x62 and yes, I could just swap the fans, but I prefer to leave certain things stock. I tried to contact NZXT just to have them send me 2 new 140mm fans and I was literally KRAKEN (LOL) up when they wanted me to RMA the whole thing. Then I said nah, not worried about it then. I switched to Vardars and loving it.

Is this the procedure after you ran out of diesel? I don't understand how the air gets out of the fuel lines without you opening it manually at the cylinder injection points. I also have no idea how the wiring circuit works from the battery to the pumps.

I think the only concern would be extra noise from the fans spinning that fast. Though you could probably keep noise at an acceptable level by adjusting your fan curves. There is a 10000 times easyer way!!! Just take off the air filter housing and blow brake cleaner in the tube going to engine while somone else is trying to start the car. Keep blowing brake cleaner until the engine keeps running whithout it trying to fall still. The air will go away whitin 2 minutes. And you can also avoid air in system by filling the fuel filter completly with fuel before starting that will prevend air getting in system

i have the Asus edition 10 motherboard 2080ti msi trio 6950x 4ghz 32gb ram 1600w psu do you think our PCs will hold up to 2024?
@evertinker16424 жыл бұрын
In general I think they'll be ok until 2024, though it would probably be time to upgrade then. Depends on the purpose I guess and whether you need a cutting edge processor to do what you want on your pc. So far performance hasn't gone much beyond the 6950x with a decent overclock, and even if 20core 5ghz becomes the standard it will take time for software to catch up and actually make use of it. So yea, you'll probably be fine until 2024 (and i'll probably need a video card upgrade haha).

Hi there, I am just about to replace aux pump and filter at the same time. When I purge the air out of the line, where actually the air goes to? Is it safe to just prime it and start the engine?
@evertinker16424 жыл бұрын
Hi Scott, not sure where the air goes but hypothesize it exits the system through one of the four fuel lines visible on top of the fuel filter housing canister (return line).
@evertinker16424 жыл бұрын
Regarding the question whether its "safe to just prime it and start the engine", that question can be interpreted multiple ways so "No" would be the safe answer. Following this procedure precisely has its own risks and leaving any electrical connections exposed after the pumps stop running significantly increases the chance of some type of electrical short, which is my biggest fear. Anyone know if the air stays out once the system is primed?

@@evertinker1642 buy the two other sticks, get up to quad channel speed, and then - create a 50 GB sized RAM disk, you'll have 14GB of actual RAM left over for everything else. There's nothing faster than a RAM disk, and you'd have a good sized speed demon disk.

Hi, the Noctuas have much bigger air flow 158,5 CFM (269,3 m3/h), did you notice any change in your CPU temp? Thx.
@evertinker16426 жыл бұрын
I replaced the fans pretty quickly, before I did any serious overclocking. I assume the Noctuas keep the temp a few degrees lower but I can't say for sure. With the Noctuas I'm running at a 4.3GHz overclock on all cores (from 3.0GHz stock), and for most things (like intense games or video editing) temps stay in the 40's or lower. On stress tests that max out all cores it gets into the 70's.
