Many little troubles in trasportation have been solved, trains are better, info are clear in different languages and online services are better than many countries in europe offer. I think a tourist could visit Italy in a easier and safer way now

the average temp.in the world have risen 0.84 degree celsius the past 100 years , the Italians travel to Scandinavia for the same reason Americans do, they want to see the world, I know it's diff. to understand when you follow mass media but try and google how much the temp. have actually changed, also we are at the same level as in the Viking age, that said we should worry about pollution of our water, air and ground that is the real issue

Wish I had seen this before our Camino! Great advice, but if you are deliberating going, just go. We made no reservations in advance, we always found a place to stay, Saint James (Santiago) will provide. Best experience of my life.

Salmorejo is the soup I believe Robyn was trying to remember the name of. I enjoy it much more than gazpacho. It's a tomato and bread based soup typically served with with a drizzle of olive oil and maybe some small chunks of jamon. Usually served cold in a tall glass. Perfection on a hot summer day.

Other safety travel tip: I found not to be on the top level of the double- decker bus in London at night, when only one other rider was there moving closer and closer to me, I saw him in the mirror, and then went downstairs before he got too close.

1990, age 20, I spent 2 months traveling around Europe alone as a young woman - Eurail, youth hostels, ridiculously large backpack - with Europe Through The Back Door in hand. This summer my 18 year old is heading off to Europe for his first solo trip. Life comes full circle. SO thrilled for him! And, yes, I’m introducing him to the book that started it all for me…

I used to not be big on the idea of a travel journal, but after realizing that you never know when you're just a day or two away from being in the middle of a major global event, I've definitely changed my tune on the idea. It can put your travels into context in quite interesting ways.

You just said climate change is causing flights to be canceled. 🤡 Please specify one single flight from any carrier that has been canceled because of climate change. 🤡 II called Delta Ryan air, Swissair Brussels air British Airways and not one flight has been canceled because of climate change so what in the world are you talking about?🤡

The parents do NOT hire the beer trucks for their kids to ride around in and get drunk. Where in the world are you getting your misinformation? If you would actually go to these countries and experience life there you would stop telling people such garbage you keep telling people lies.

Every Rick Steves travel guide is useless the moment it is published because it relies on old information from months or even years before the only way the smart way is to get the weekly entertainment, travel guides at the airport and at the bus stations the moment you get there, and that’s the only way to know which festival is going on that weekend Which restaurants have just opened up and what is actually current because his travel guides are by definition old and expired by the time you buy them and that’s a fact

Really thorough video. I love seeing all the essential items you’ve packed that are NOT just clothes. I am also a plus size carry-on only traveler, and I pack light-ish so all of my clothes fit on one half of my suitcase, but it’s all those extra necessities (especially the whole cpap set - I still haven’t invested in the travel version so I carry the WHOLE full size set up in my backpack) that end up causing panic on packing day! Thanks so much for sharing a realistic version of packing for those of us who have necessities that can’t be easily purchased or replaced on-site so they HAVE to come with you from home!

Wow! I've read Plotkin's opera book but this is the first time I've ever seen him ... what knowledge! I've been to Italy about 7 times and love dining locally and I'm probably exaggerating when I say I have 1/100 of his knowledge. What a video!
