around 7k for the supercharger another 1100 for the exhaust. 2k for the wheels and 11k for the car.

How much? I’m set to buy a friends 68 RS convertible 327 for $13k. It’s in good shape and I’m curious what others are paying for Gen 1 Camaros and I’m sure it can vary vastly.

its not for sale at this point. but a 68 rs convertible for 13k is a good price! just make sure the underneith isnt to rusty.

@@robstorti519 Was wondering what you had to pay for that nice Camaro but you don’t have to say. The car I’m looking at is in good shape and it’s been owned for decades by an old friend. I think he wants me to buy it for a good price so he can still see it sometimes. Wish it was a 4 speed but oh well…

I have almost the exact same car. My Dad bought it in the late 70's and has had it ever since. It started life Grotto Blue, and was painted a blue that closely matches the interior. I'm going to paint it back to grotto blue. It also had an Inline 6 but at some point in the late 80's my brother swapped in a 350. I finally got the V8 running well after many seasons. Plus he didn't keep the original 6. I'd leave that original 6 in it, and at the very least stash it away in storage if you decide to swap it out.
@JavaScott2526 күн бұрын
I just saw your more recent video and you've already swapped it out. Did you change the gear ratio at all on the rear end?

My first car I got when I was 17 in 1984. It was 74'Red Camaro and was a hot car. It had a beastly stroker 383 in it. 350 with the turned 400 crank, shorter stroke engine. It was ghastly for a first car. This brings back great memories.

The rear valance panel(down below the back of the bumper) is very hard to find. It has to be a 74-77. I had a 76 and that area was toast. It was impossible to find that.

Personally I would repair any metal and interior. Then pull engine and transmission get them mechanically sound. Then try to maje metal repairs match paint ant satin clear it. And drive it. I love the aluminum bumper Camaros.
