Nice practical sermon. A word of advice for you pastor. Don't get ever get into soul condemnation preaching like Baptists and Pentecostals do at times. I'll tell ya straight out, I was a believer for well over 50 years and I grew up a nice, average, Garden variety Lutheran and was at perfect peace. Later on (in my twenties) I lost my way and attended a Bible Church that taught main line born again Christian fundamentalism. The deeper I got into it the more I realized that this is not the God I knew as a child. In my opinion, today's Christian fundamentalism is ruining Christianity. And also in my opinion, Lutherans and Catholics or other liturgical type churches teach Christianity the best. They teach it In a non fanatical way. After church and during the week nobody is running around with a bunch of God talk coming out of their mouths like fundies do. Be careful how you preach and teach.
