Oh my gracious! I was absolutely thrilled to find this video where you show how you incorporated your part sheets. Not sure what I love most, putting squares into a stained glass design (I will definitely have to try that!), the 2 bowls are amazing, and the blue plate with the strip of part sheet. All fantastic.

Sorry...I have had some strange illnesses hit me all at once and am trying to get them identified and controlled 🙄🫤 it started with my knee swelling for no reason and has turned into all over pain and a popped bicep tendon on my right arm and my left is trying to do it too... so I'm trying to stay calm and am getting bounced to different doctors... the orthopedic thinks it is lyme disease but it has come back negative and the doxycycline isn't doing much... so I've been pretty miserable and unable to work ... thank you for missing me though... that is very nice ❤️😊

@@JenelArt we could never find out because her husband moved her away from the neighborhood. But we do believe it had something to do with the lime disease. My husband was a paramedic EMT firefighter.

when you break a piece, do you glue it together? Since the glue is to burn off in the kiln, will it fuse together? maybe a dumb question.
@JenelArt3 ай бұрын
I have used glue or aloe Vera gel to stick something back together to fire again but I also make sure to have a dusting of clear powder frit on it too.

@shaypowrie47383 ай бұрын
This would have worked without the glue because the powder will fill the whole void and be enough glass. Some people tack fuse before applying the powder so it does not get under the glass pieces

I haven't either but I have seen a number of variations making it out buying the product. I think I have all the ingredients to try making my own. Another thought I had was to try to make a mold... or figure a way to make it dimensional out of the stained glass but I think I may still have to round some pieces in the kiln first

Try a Dremel with a diamond bit. Put the whole thing in a tray of water and grind away the silver. Then you'll have to put it back in the kiln, but you can add to the piece that way. You can add bits of black frit to the piece to help disguise your work, but depending on how deep you need to go, you may not have to.

Hiya! Back after not catching up on your videos for a while. As you know, I don't work with glass, I work with paper. So I came on to watch you work while I have lunch - hehe. So cool how we can see techniques and ideas from one art form and translate it to others! Like, I'm seeing your paint in those little, narrow-tipped bottles, so I'll grab some and put my paint in. I always end up putting more paint than I need on my mixing board, this will solve that problem. And, the squiggles and dots will work perfectly for our paper masterboards, which also get cut up. Thanks for the inspo!
