I have a 14K Kohler. Piece of junk after 1000 hours. Stay away.

2 suggestions: First TURN OFF THE STUPID MUSIC Second take some of your profits from running a good business and get a hairstylist to fix the mess on your head. BTW that generator is loud.

This is brutally loud, and mu neighbors would not be happy with me. Why can't you and the other generator manufacturers look at the Malie DCA-45MZ Generator, which is quiet by design rather than loud and putting a bunch of installation around it.

Ahhh.. The good old 62.5 hour day! My biggest issue as someone that designs powerplants for a living is that the reported generation efficiency of the Kohler vs Generac is horrendously worse. Now I get that different testing bodies may not be apples to apples and maybe Kohler is more conservative (like BMW horsepower ratings), but without an appreciable way to get more accurate comparisons, it's kind of a non-starter for me.

I made the mistake of buy generac first. The customer support including management was even worse than the garbage generator they make. Kohler is FAR superior in every way.

Yeah that's not bad at all. Lol I have an Onan 12.5 kw from the 80's. It sounds like a truck with straight pipes and headers stating lol. My neighbors hate me. Anyhow I'm upgrading this week to the Kohler 20kw. That's gonna be night and day soundwise for me lol

This is good news that this particular model is relatively quiet i guess but what about the higher up Kohler models? Do they too use all these sound muffling items in those models as well?

I’m perplexed. We want a 20,000 KW standby and Some people are saying Generac is best and others are saying Kohler. Can somebody please tell me which one is going to be the better one for 2022 models? I’ve heard Kohler but I’m trying to get some really sound advice to be sure because I just can’t find the answer. People say Generac is good and others say Kohler and then they argue back-and-forth and I don’t know

Just had a 20Kw put in !!! Love my new Kohler Generator !! Hook it to nature gas . I really like there generator having hydraulic valves ,,,Generac doesn't !!!!

You don't install these in open areas. You place where your HVAC is from windows areas..

Hopefully the line power is coming from a "power pole", not a telephone pole :)

Can you please expand on the WiFi, the App & how to use it over my Cell Phone? Is there an App? Or do I need to run a Special line to the Generator? Generac has it included in their package. I just got the 22KW from Kohler.

I had my Kohler 20 kW standby installed about 4 months ago it's been exercising weekly at about 1pm no issues first time I had power go off last night generator didn't come on. I go outside this morning lift up the hood red lights flashing fault code something about a speed fault I have no idea I've called the electrician going to have them come out and check it I hope my brand new generator isnt fried

Getting a 14kw Kohler instead of the 14kw G brand. The Kohler has a 750cc motor vs 816cc and the Kohler overall weighs 55 lbs more.

It would have been nice if you even used a sound meter app on a smart phone to record the decibels where you were standing outside and then start the generator and measure the noise level again. I did a crude measurement and found a 15 dB noise increase when you were outdoors running the generator.

Load shedding is also used with central air conditioners too

Is Kohler Prime Power KD8000 a good reliable and well made generator cause there one for sale near me hardly used, I was looking at getting a Honda Eu22i generator before I seen this one

If you realized how many potential customers use KZfaq videos to learn and make buying decisions, you would take this poorly produced video down and get a professional to help you. I will continue to research Kohler because I want to buy one but this video is not helping your business. The background music is as loud as the generator. Buy a $20 sound meter on Amazon and prove how quiet Kohler is.

The video presentation is good 👍 However, including a standardized pricing would be of great service to the be consumer… Without the pricing, as a consumer, I find that I must continue my search in hopes of obtaining additional information, which would include the pricing.

Typically sound level ratings are at 18-20' from the generator. You demonstration suggests that this generator is relatively quiet. Nice though if you could produce some hard numbers as meters can be as cheap as a smart phone app.

Nice design and well thought out. Had your marketing been better I likely would have gone Kohler instead of a Honda frame model, then having to go through the exercise of constructing a concrete "bunker" for it. This video which I stumbled across after the fact explains it all and is excellent. If you focus on smaller sizes for residential users and do a good job on sound insulation as you demonstrated on one of your larger size models you would capture a large segment of that market. I love your demonstration of breaking down the side walls for mtce. I looked at buying a 5-7 kw generator for occasional use during emergencies and considered an additional $2k expense for a generic sound proofing compartment for housing it. If I found an all in one package, considering the brain damage I went through to buy a gen and then design a cabinet I would have jumped right away on a sound proof Kohler package. What users want is reliability, sound proofing (very important), security, fire resistance, and thermal protection. Buyers also want to know just how quiet. I am impressed and see you as being almost there for the small residential user. Great job!

how coe some generators I see have a battery in it ,like a car battery

I live in southside VA 15 minutes from the NC border and thinking of a generator after ice storm . I have a 2440 sq. ft house with 2 x6 stud walls but want to be able to only run things I need like heat pump and well pump and whole house water filter and pressure tank and refrigerator and maybe some led lights and computers and maybe tvs . I don't care about my kitchen range or dryer or washing machine .We are retired so home all the time .I do have a new lennox heat pump with wifi controller that is a 16 seer unit dual compressor .Will they go by your standard usage a month to decide how big a generator to install .Plus only propane here .I know you can pick and choose what you want it to run .I also know if installed incorrectly it can feed back to the grid . During ice storm someones generator fed back and a poor guy working to get power back on from the electric company was electricuted and he is still in hospital

You should really give more info on how to maintain unit and how close to house it can be and how much it costs to maintain it and maybe at a customers house

Please remove the music from your video ..it overpowers and detracts 200% from your video's quality.
