Amazing footage! That looks like a large fish (do you know what kind?) the bird caught! The fish was struggling, but the hungry Heron managed to fully consume (alive?!) it all okay? It looked like the unlucky thing was desperately kicking staring down that long throat! I wonder, does the sizable fish stand any chance of escaping if eaten in that condition? Maybe it can turn around inside the elastic throat/stomach and has a chance of survival here.

This was absolutely wonderful and is making me really look forward to my Antartic Cruise and trip the end of this year. May I ask how you put this all together? Software you used? Again, just great!
@theresawiltrout3 ай бұрын
Hi Brenda! I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed the video. I recorded most of the video on my canon R3. I made the video in iMovie and pulled the music from KZfaq audio. This took me about 25-30 hours to do because I had so much footage to go through, but it was worth it.

@@theresawiltrout thank you for th info! I use iMovie as well. I was wondering if there was something else out there. Great video and looks like you had a wonderful trip. I can't wait for mine.

@@brendajphotography have a wonderful time...it's such an amazing place and I cannot wait to go back again. In reading my first reply to you I realized that I incorrectly typed R3...I have a Canon R5, not an R3.

Thanks! We were very fortunate to have great weather for most of the trip. That certainly made photography easier. It was a fabulous expedition and the staff at Polar Latitudes were amazing.

Is this in Florida Gulf Islands & Charlotte Harbor?

Hi Lauren, this is in the South Gulf Cove development in Port Charlotte, FL. Our canals lead to a lock that puts us in the Myakka River near the El Jobean Bridge on route 776.

Large animals radiate high body temperatures. This is one of the reasons why creatures like polar bears can live in the Arctic without much trouble.

@@Meghnaaad former for the ones in non-tundra climates, both for tundra climates. It varies on the needs of each animal (besides that the fur insulates the body from harsh colds not the size itself.)

What's the average flood insurance in 2022? Is it different for canal front versus land-locked lot?
@theresawiltrout2 жыл бұрын
Hi Russell! In South Gulf Cove, I believe flood insurance costs are calculated based on the flood zone your property is in so it doesn’t matter whether you are canal front or land locked. The canals here are behind a lock so we do not get tidal changes.
