Crazy to me and older rotary dude to listen to a modern rotary guys talk about 300-400hp like nothing lol...back in the late 80s and 90s we were chasing close to 250hp to the rear wheel and we were more than happy to get anything near that, i understand were were a bit primitive with downdraft or side draft carbs lol but fascinating how the technology and methods have evolved.

Ive been looking at the Pro-Jay Typhoon 13b intake ill be running a bridgeport & a big ole tatta spinner, haltech 2500, CD009, & the fun junk, ive currently got a complete *13B RE* intake manifold that ive had for probably close to 20 yrs or so & want to use it as its fairly rare but i do like the performance & look of the Typhoon. Which would you say is better for a street, drift/circuit days, cruises & midnight highway runs. Would you say the Typhoon is better over the RE or vise versa?

Hey man, thank you for the detailed explanation regarding grounding. I have developed my own ECU from scratch and also wrote firmware for it. I have run 4 cylinders very well, 6 cylinders too with no problems. I have installed the same ECU on a V8 and for some reason, there's interefence that I can't comprehend where it's from. If I use the same harness on a 4 cylinder but attach the other 4 COPs with grounded spark plugs and also attach 4 extra fuel injectors to mimic a V8, the 4 cylinder runs very smooth. No hiccups, revs pretty fast to red line and has power throughout. I check my data log and it is very clean. As soon as I put back the whole harness to the V8, I have hiccups. Engine never stalls but can feel the hiccups, from time to time. The engine has tonnes of power but I'm working on clearing that hiccup. I'll change the plugs to the ones that match with the COPs I'm using and observe if it wil help at all.

With what you’ve experienced so far, do you think a 3rd gen 3500 DRW could be built to safely tow some of the bigger/heavier 5th wheel toy haulers? Like in the 24-25klb territory?

There is some great information in there but I think you've misinterpreted the pressure offset data for the wideband. It isn't to factor in "boost", it's to allow for pressure acting on the sensor itself, which on most tuner cars with a free flowing exhaust is minimal. If mounted in the exhaust manifold it can be huge as you pointed out, but in the downpipe where most people put them, it's small enough not to matter in most instances.
@RGHTBrainDesignDrive3 ай бұрын
This is for Backpressure (EMAP), which in most systems besides drag racing, is significantly higher than Boost Pressure. I have documents of this all over the RGHTBrainDesign Facebook page with examples of car to car.

If we have a standard of knowledge to reference, then we can build from there (the community could say 'well per reference xx we can start looking at this').
