I wonder if this was the thing that blew out my primary chain when it broke. A piece of bearing race floated along the fluid and got caught in the gears and busted the chain. Thank you for the video.

Jason I want to say thank you for putting these videos together. I have a 1986FXRD and I was able to get the fuel gauge working which when I got this bikedid not work and that was in 2002. So thanks man.

They make flexible extensions. Watch the Japanese videos, they think you have adjust the idle multiple times daily. SMFH

Jason , I also purchased the fuel sending unit for the FXR and the intellitronics fuel gauge! So what about the purple wire is that some sort of ground?

You'll only need to use the red, yellow, and black wires as shown in the video. No purple unless Intellitronix has changed something.
