God I hope so, that would be a dream come true finally. This was recorded a few months ago and I just assumed it was because of propagation conditions but this was only 1 of 2 of their frequencies that I was able to hear then. If they're all gone now then that's huge for me because they normally block a lot of my reception from the middle east and northern africa due to splatter.

They're still on, though in a much more limited capacity now it seems. I'm getting them in English on 15140 though I have to use a narrow rf filter because there's a lot of noise over the signal.

We hear. Havana Cuba here in New Orleans on regular am late at night late late their transmitters seem stronger as well as nighttime effects and propagation....it's awesome...also we get xeg la ranchera de Monterrey Mexico....on cross feed like Havana Cuba...id love to get special selective sensitive receiver equipment sdr software with the new artificial intelligence stuff called...RM noise...it's filters out noise up to 90percent....super new super great

Yes Havana Cuba..I used to think my radio was broken years ago ..seemed like radio Havana was talking about the revolution all night long.....lol..happy wild memories though..... enjoying Cuban songs cross feeding with ranchera music from Mexico...it helped to to learn Spanish

Do you want the file structure exactly as setup for the bible, or just in a way to make it play? Because I've figured out how it's programmed to read and you can can go beyond the original structure. If you're looking to recreate the original bible audiobook I also have those files archived in the original structure as well.

@@kishascape Kinda both? I bought it at a Goodwill to complete the set (radio that also plays Muslim prayers, box that plays Buddhist prayers) and had no idea it was SD card based. But it would be nice to be able to switch in other stuff. I've DLed audio bibles to attempt to redo its original functionality bu have no idea what folder/naming structure was used. Thx for your reply!

Get some spare speaker wire any kind of wire you can find laying around and wrap one end around the antenna and string the other end up straight as you can a couple meters into the air. Also get it as outside as you possibly can, try to distance yourself as far as possible from any electric stuff. Far away as you can from computers, lightbulbs, tvs, charger cables, and power lines. OfficialSWLChannel has a Tecsun R9012 cheap radio and has done a lot of great receptions with it.

I have a question about range in a truck....I have the exact same handheld radio, would I get better range from this 51" antenna fully extended with the tip on the dashboard of my truck, or a small 2 foot magnet mount on the roof of my truck? Thanks

The roof antenna, CB wavelength is too big to escape so you take a big signal hit transmitting inside. Anything outside will do better, I would still keep one of these in the glove box though as a walk around antenna. I really like the k30 35 inch magmount for a compact roof antenna, just make sure you get a little SWR meter to tune the antenna. That makes the biggest difference from having trouble talking across the parking lot to being able to get out decently.

I remember Brother Stair! I really learned a lot from him when he would be in teaching mode. He was in prime form during the 1980's-1990's and it was a different time then. All the hype and hallucination over the year 2000 coming up got him and everybody all wound up for The End Times. The year 2000 came and went and his followers were a bit disillusioned. Then the Great Inside Job of 9/11/2001 happened and Brother Stair was on fire again. Then his adultery scandal hit and that damn near destroyed his credibility. Eventually, he was able to regain his place at the Overcomer Ministry compound but, he was much more humble after that. So many old-school fire-n-brimstone preachers fell by the wayside as the world continued on and it was like all their preaching was for nought. I lost interest in Brother Stair because he just didn't have the fire in him like he used to. But, I will always appreciate what I learned from him in regards to understanding and interpreting the Scriptures. RIP Brother Stair.

I noticed that too, especially when he was away and they would play the older episodes it was much more interesting. I really liked when he would answer live phone calls, there was a lot of interesting discussion. My favorite was the soldier calling in talking about listening in Afghanistan and brother stair helped with what frequencies should work best there. The episode talking about witches is one of my favorite newer ones.

@@kishascape Yes, unfortunately QRM is huge everywhere in populated areas. So in the parks, we can use these small radios. In fact, it was designed for this.

You can decode ATCS if you have an RTL-SDR and find the train number and look it up though I don't really bother with that these days.
