@@tibob69 But this are the 70s and I guess medical supervision and support in movies, and specially TV series, was not that great as it may be today, neither the knowledge about the effects of this abuse on a human body, even more so considering that many of these series were made on a budget (even in Star Trek they used the shower-like "transporter" and simple colored shirts and pants as uniforms to save money) so they simply made it this way to tell the audience he shook the girl enough to crush her spine of something. You are thinking like a 2024 person and so you are picky but audiences in the 70s knew all the ,limitations and simply filled themselves the empty spaces.
