Hey im currently looking at a 1991 zr1. But I can't find any concrete info on the turn radius, some sources say the turning radius is horrible and others say its not bad. Which isn't that big of an issue, just something i like to know about the cars i buy

Not sure of the numbers, but the turn radius FEELS pretty large! And the steering effort takes a bit of muscle. I actually drove a 1991 ZR-1 for this comparison test video here if you'd like more of my thoughts on it- kzfaq.info/get/bejne/h9aaacmErM7Kmok.html

I just picked up my C7. These are all beautiful cars, but I think I'd get a C6 if I were to pick up a second one for fun. The C7 Stingray is for sure my dream car though. I swapped out the belt and tensioner in it a couple days ago, it was a rather easy job. If you're able to compare all of them, I'd love that as well, or just the C6 and C7! I'd offer to borrow mine for a comparison but I'm in Florida, so it'd be a little bit of a drive.

In my opinion cars are pretty much dead . All that's left is the Mustang and Camry ( 4 door family car doesn't belong in Nascar ) I think the easy fix would be to make the Truck series the main cup series. Chevy , Ford etc .sell a lot of pickup trucks.
@RetroCarsForever
@RetroCarsForever 2 күн бұрын
That’s an intriguing idea. But I do feel “trucks racing” is kind of a strange thought in NASCAR, always has been, to me stranger than “sedans” racing in the sport. So to me trucks are more of a sideshow than the main show, which is ideally sporty cars. But, I can see the business case behind making trucks the premiere series, and perhaps replacing that lower series slot with electric cars.

I have a 95 vette and a 08 c6 Z06. They all have there problems and flaws but everytime I look at the c4 it's just the best vette all around (money wise) you don't have to worry bout parking it far away it's cheap to fix and it is still a fast car for the age. Plus people do still admire the car. Obviously c6 is better in every way but there just something about the c4 (93 to 96) LT1 motor just makes you smile for miles and miles😊!!

If you're interested in performance modding, skip the C4 unless you're DEAD set on the vibe/aesthetic. Even if you're just a weekend warrior on a budget, many of us get the mod bug and the "goal" becomes ever-moving. It can be expensive, difficult, and quirky to get a C4 on par with a C5/C6 and eventually you will hit a limit, "I should have just bought a C5". I've seen many people go through this. The LS platform of the C5/C6 is what you want and will unlock a larger universe of possibilities. The engineering gap between the C4 and C5 is VAST. C4s are fun and it's doable, but be ready for a more compromising journey.

Ford blew it on the T-bird by making a very attractive body and putting a cheap base model type interior in it. the leather is cheap, the instrument panel and trim looks like a Ford contour.
@RetroCarsForever
@RetroCarsForever 6 күн бұрын
I do think Ford did a great job of making the interior LOOK interesting, but like most US manufacturers at the time, skimped out on the actual material quality. Which was a bigger shame because this was the most expensive Ford car you could buy at the time. I personally have no problem looking past it, as I'm used to driving American cars from this era, but I get how its a deal killer for many others.

There's a few ways to do heel and toe, but the way I prefer is like every other professional race car driver's foot cam I ever see. Which is toe on the brake, heel on the accelerator pedal. While I never modified my C4, I've talked to many who have. It's MUCH easier to modify the LT1 to make more power than swap it over to an LS.
