It would appear not. From everything the game lead has been saying it sounds like theyre walking back on solas to make him not a villain and have him join your team.

Honestly I don't mind since the other 2 are Elvhen God's and Solas had planned to fight them anyway, it just seems they escaped themselves earlier than expected which is very interesting As long as we get to Solas at some point, I'm personally good to wait! @@Moon222 if you want a regurgitated product then play Skyrim. The games aren't meant to be carbon copies of each other, and nothing will be as good as origins. Period. If we stick to the same graphics as origins I'd absolutely feckin' WEEP cause even for it's time they were rough af 😂 we're also in tevinter now, expect things to be magical and "neon". It's also the introduction, choices aren't going to make much difference just like they didn't at the battle of Ostagar 🙄 They've always consistently changed combat style in every game, it simply looks up to date with current game styles. Lord forbid they try to improve, the horror. @VillianousKitty gameplay trailer was not lethal at all. Turned the game into mass effect clone. I get wanting to keep the game modern, but this isn't dragon age no more. It's totally dumbed down, cartoon like mess.

I think I read one of the developers said Solas was going to be "One of the villains" of the game Having multiple villains in DA2 and BG3 worked great but I'm not that confident about current BioWare's wroting ability

​@alessandrodebonis4888 I don't want him to be one of the villains, I want him to be THE villain. We got to know him throughout Inquisition so the sting of betrayal would be that much more painful. Imagine if he's the first boss we kill...

In the first trailer Varric talked about taking on "Darkspawn, Tevinter, even the Dreadwolf himself" so I'm guessing that's gonna be our main villans, with Solas being the final boss. What I'm not so sure about is weather we'll be able to finish off Solas for good or not

@@alessandrodebonis4888the first trailer was made when it was still call dragon age dreadwolf so it’s not necessarily relevant now. The new trailer says: demons, darkspawn, and yes dragons with no mention of the dreadwolf. It’s likely they will significantly reduce solas role.

I think they changed it to better fit the narrative. Players are going to go into this not knowing who Solas is or who fenharel/the dread wolf is. It also mimicks inquisition, but instead of a large organization thats imposing on the world. Its a small group of individuals who are largely unknown to Solas or the rest of the world.

​@sinac8 nah the blight isn't because of elves it's cuz of humes and demons are just incel spirits. All he does is put up the veil making the world less magical and humes who believe in the maker enslave elves because religion

@@eclektric the blight came from beyond the veil, after the tevinter mages pierce through it and brought sin into heaven. They came back as the first darkspawn. There is no record of the blight or darkspawn in the acient age before solas put up the veil but they are here now and they are such a threat that an organization was given powerful peace treaties that can bind entire mations to fight for them. Where did they can from, what made them on the other side of the veil? Is it a old eleven god twisted by rage and the desired to kill the dread wolf and will turn the whole world into a corrupted weapon to do so, don't know but they came from the veil and wouldn't exist if solas didn't trap the eleven gods he was at war with. Also in DA:Orgins if you play as the wild elf beginning, you get tainted from the blight after touching a Eluvian, kinda weird aint that. The eleven magical mirror who can be use to talk to spirits or demons can also taint you with the blight.

@@eclektric the blight existed before humans. Just look up the codex entry of Andruil in the Void.

I will personally wait the gameplay on tuesday before giving any final judgement.
