what did you think of "the secret history of twin peaks"? I know lynch said it was "his history" meaning mark frost's but i really loved how it expanded the mythology too especially in the direction of conspiracy theories as I was always a big X-Files guy

your list is amazing. i think my favorite moment is when lissie plays wild wild west. its so intense. I love all the "starring kyle machlachlan" moments but that was my fave and just oddly captures so many feelings i have about laura and my own self destructive tendencies in my life

Thank you very much. I too love her doing Wild Wild West. Intense, indeed. Cheers!

I cannot believe that, during the normal working day, I still find myself thinking about Twin Peaks, Coop, Laura, dwarves, giants, owls, BOB and the Black and White Lodges…

Im curious why the typewriter physically changes models (color, make/shape, ect.), at a certain point, i think around the time that jack is overlooking the hedge maze model, and then surreally the camera zooms over head on the maze and danny and wendy are in it. It mught imply that the rest of the "movie" is what jack typed up as a story and we see it play out.. I don't think it's obvious though, and the typewriter changing seems deliberate and like it hints at something. Kubrick was very clever though, and maybe was purposely playing with loose end hints and ommit just enough to entice curiosity without actually revealing anything definitive.

How did Delbert Grady die? Did he hang himself? Overdose on too much alcohol after he killed his daughter and wife? Maybe he also got stuck in the maze in a snow storm, hiding from the police. He did not recall shooting himself in the head. I'm guessing he drank himself to death.

The Dreamer was always Cooper. He was always aimlessly driving on a Mobius Strip -shaped lost highway of delusion. Laura was always at the mercy of Cooper's toxic dreamworld. The "real" Cooper never cared about Laura, Sonny Jim, Diane, or anyone else.

Danny saw the twins before Jack called. Before there was *any* possible way he could have known that two little girls died in the hotel, unless he really could shine.
@WowLynchWow4 күн бұрын
Danny sees twins, but the girls who were murdered were said to have been 8 and 10.
@colelevel26544 күн бұрын
@WowLynchWow I just think it's a bit of a coincidence that Danny knew that two little girls were killed with an axe in the hotel, even if he got their ages wrong. However, it was just a counterpoint as I think much of this theory is pretty well constructed and compelling. I always thought It was about a terrible husband/father, and even if their was weird supernatural stuff, Jack was going insane because he was a bad person and not because he was possessed or anything. Whether or not there are ghosts, I agree that understanding that it was the isolation and proximity to his family that made Jack go insane is the key to appreciating the story.

In the photo Jack is doing the Baphomet pose, what that signifies beyond signalling part of elite secret society beliefs (ie. Being both genders as part of their apotheosis) I'm not sure. Reminds me of the lady on the plane who freaked out claiming "that 🤬 is not real" while briefly making the Baphomet guesture.

Who lets Jack out of the locked food storage room?? The whole point of horror like this is the audience doesn't know what's 'real' or what's imagined. Not whether there are ghosts or not. You've totally missed the point.

I still want to see more Twin Peaks. Lots left to explore, from the connection between Laura and Judy to getting some resolution with beloved characters like Audrey and Annie. But yeah, S2 contained some of the worst scenes and best, more important scenes of the series.

I still don't think Cooper and Mr C separated or were "reunited". And I disagree with your take on Briggs wanting to understand evil more than Cooper. If anything Cooper is the one saying they need to understand it (yes "the cause" matters), and I took Briggs' "yeah" as a sincere agreement acknowledging their responsibility to fight and understand the evil. But it's good to see new Twin Peaks videos from you (found these 7 months later lol). Always enjoyable to watch. Thank you for retiring the itchy armpit close.
