This was on the MTB approved trail! In fact, AZ Trail is one of the oldest systems in the state. Leave no trace behind is my motto. Thanks for checking it out.

@@myArizona in your video you Say your in the Kachina Wilderness area ..Just to be clear .... The language of the Wilderness Act specifically bans both “mechanical transport” and “motor vehicles”. 4. That the U.S. Forest Service unilaterally banned bikes in wilderness in 1984...so if it is Wilderness not cool if you made a mistake you should emend it in the video so others don't assume you are riding in an actual WIlderness area the Kachina Wilderness site clearly states NO BICYCLES .. you have to be extremely careful about posting stuff that is wrong or misleading

@@myArizona Very welcome. I mostly ride in the east valley and sometimes in somo, mcdowell, and brown's ranch. I also ride in Tucson but not very often. I definitely want to try the playground.

Yes, you can always "hike a bike" in the exposure areas ... the other 95% of the trail you'll be safe! So did you pick up the Pivot and if yes, are you loving it?

No way!!! I have not seen a mountain lion in AZ yet. I am surprised that I have yet to see a Bobcat as they are very common in North Scottsdale.

So glad you guys all got out safely. I've had dehydration and heat exhaustion before. It damaged my kidneys some. Not a good thing. I really enjoy your videos. I don't always need to see the high flying expert riders. I also kinda like watching people closer to my skill level. Keep up the videos!

@@myArizona yes, I live in western WA St. It's wet here when your best riding is happening! I'm retired so I'm moving south before too long. Torn between AZ and St George area of UTAH.. I was thinking at some point during this video you should change your name to Cactus Dodger or something. Ouch!

Like your videos. I'm considering buying a trail 429. I'd be interested in finding out what build spec yours is, what upgrades you may have done, how much it weighs.. those kinds of things. Thanks

@birdman - the bike specs are in the description. I just upgraded the Wheels to DT Swiss XM 1700 (previous was M1900) and the DT Swiss Ratchet upgrade to 54T (prev was 18T I think) a few weeks ago. I got the wheels only because my Ratchet upgrade kit was not compatible with XM1700 wheels. By far the best upgrade was the 54T ratchet as I now have much quicker engagement. I have not weighted the bike, but it feels light. I'll try to weight it sometime and post back the results here. Let me know if you have any other questions! Cheers.

@@myArizona I bought a trail 429! I love it so far. Climbs like a dream. Made it up a long climb I've never made it up before yesterday! It's the willow green one. I'm upgrading wheels and hubs right off. I think I'm gonna be a weight weenie... probably already am.😁

That was a beautiful day out in Shredona you guys had there. I was surprised to see you go straight into that extreme line without hesitation. And that creek was beautiful. Now I know where your shorter video of that same creek run came from. Looks like you we’re really brave that day going for it on the harder stuff. More brave than I would’ve been. Have you been riding any this winter so far? I’ve seen your Strava rides and have been giving you kudos but haven’t seen your current KZfaq videos of them I don’t think. The videos you have recently uploaded have been from summer ish last year.
