I would have opened the filter and sprayed a little ether before turning the key. Also you need a pusher, largest snow bucket or plow. Your bucket too small for snow. Clocking too many hours with little bucket.

This one with tax was just about 6k, is a virnig so a little more spendy than other brands but clearly designed for the machine as it has plenty of flow to keep it spinning at full tilt even through 2-3” underbrush

Any info on knife adjustment? I’ve got a 2010 midsouth that is constantly giving me troubles feeding brush. I have the manual, but still have trouble setting the knife/anvil tolerances. Thanks!
