Omg!! That looks disgusting.. tikka masala is flavorful because of the marinate (in this case tofu), blending of the sauce in cream or coconut milk and reintroducing the ingredients to each other in the pan.. what you show here is lazy, sloppy and pure disregard for the ethnic cuisine.. if you are going to try ethnic cuisine do it with some degree of respect! The original tikka masala is not difficult to prepare..

This is so tasty I can’t stop making it, sometimes I roll cubes of it in semolina flour and fry it, the crispy coating and the creamy tofu is magnificent especially when dipped in homemade chilli sauce

Every time I see a Vegan meal, I can't help but think of ST:TNG when Worf would eat traditional Klingon food. Vegan food just looks unnatural to me, and I doubt I would even try it due to it's artificial nature in appearance.

the most important thing the wood ash did was release the niacin in the corn and make it available for absorption in the human digestive tract.. without this release of niacin pellagra would break out which often proved fatal..I love the way traditional diets dealt with these issues.. we have wandered too far away from the wisdom and have the mountain of man made disease today that afflict humanity needlessly... all for the love of money..

It's really hot in Italy too (more than 40°C). I rarely travel during Summer just because I hate when it's too hot... I've never been to Budapest, I am very interested to see your vlogs about it 😊

I actually have that rule too 😂 but sort of forgot this year (and oh gosh did I regret it!). I visited quite a few places and I was on the bus with quite a few Italian tourists too. The city is really beautiful. I would definitely go back in the autumn or late spring.

@@EastMeetsKitchen I wish I did speak Hungarian! I do remember my grandmother cooking goulash, paprikash, and sweet and sour kidney beans. We used to listen to a program every week with Hungarian violin music. I hope to visit in the next few years. Thanks so much for your wonderful videos!

It was so so so so hot there. I definitely want to go back when the weather is colder because I did NOT want to do anything (the goal was to try and find shade...and then go home and take a shower)😂When I initially looked at photos of Budapest, I thought it would be too big (and sort of feel impersonal like sometimes I feel Paris does), but it wasn't. The streets were really walkable and it was really beautiful. --- I do tend to stay in apartments when I travel just because I make my own food due to allergies. But I'm very aware of issues of homelessness from places like Airbnb and short-term rentals. True, government needs better regulations or perhaps it can co-exist, but zoning and specific rules need to be put in place. I'm still looking into various options, but if any of you have recommnedations, I would love to hear about it😉 Hope you enjoy the rest of the vlogs. Plenty more to come!

It definitely was - I tried all last year but it needs to be in season. I think some shops on Etsy sell them dried which after this test, I think would be even preferable☺️
@EastMeetsKitchen19 күн бұрын
I ended up getting it online from a company (oh gosh what was the brand - it's in the video) that sells it, but if you don't look for it in the right season, they won't have it. For the UK it would probably start in June.

You're so very welcome. I think chicken of the woods is so season-dependent, so if you find out the general times they appear in your area, you might have better luck. Or I'm sure whoever is at the farmers market that sells mushrooms would definitely know and point you to the right direction☺️
