I'm a professional vinyl sign maker. If you cut the tape apart and install smaller sections, it will curve with the balloon better. :) Hope this helps! This is a gorgeous balloon display!

Maybe your balloon is slowly deflating that's why your vinyl wrinkles.

What else are you using to stick the balloons together along with the hot glue gun? Does heat affect the balloons?

I also use glue dots in sticking balloons. And also just be careful in using low temp glue gun.
