I remember watching this video when I was 14-15... 28 now, I've been listening to metal music for half of my life, and this is still one of my favourite drum playthroughs, perfect amount of technique, incredible intensity and taste, this is the quintessential metal performance, raw.. violent... Flo is a legend

When folks say to me check out Matt Elders from Artic Monkeys & wank your willy to Stevie Morris from Joy Division, I tell em I like some of The A.M.s work & adore Joy Division plus New Order… but Flo is a god made flesh & those 2 are but welps who should fall to their knees & worship their true lords appropriately (heavy on the sarcasm of course, yer randies). The Derek Roddyes, The Gene Hoglans, The Dave Lombardos, switching genres slightly in heaviosity, the Neil Pearts & then say jump to jazz for The Buddy Riches, back to rock Ginger Baker etc etc (Haha, perhaps some of those I mentioned will be regarded as personal opinion ‘ great ‘ drummers i.e. Ginger Baker has been somewhat questioned when I’ve heard him brought up, mostly in regard to speed of bpm, but anyhow all those prior and more like Sein Reinhart R.I.M. [Rest in Metal, tee-hee-hum] & Danny Carey, I regard as objectively talented 💜🖤🧡

One thing I have noticed, the fastest drummers in black metal use Paiste cymbals, the fastest drummers in death metal I have seen use Sabians, and I think that's kinda neat :3

I'd love to see another drummer fill in for him live just to hear what the reactions would be from#1 not seeing flo and#2 hearing what the session drummers thoughts were learning the material

Gotta see a video In the Kingdom Where Everything Dies, the Sky Is Mortal! Flo was the best drummer I ever seen! Seeing cryptopsy live a few times was always amazing. My favorite drummer hands down!
