The yesterdays were so simple going steady with a guy, “puppy love.” Hurt feelings for a minute or so, though “someone,” always catches “one’s eyes,” then it all starts over again, from 6th grade to 12th grade, many “loves,” stick together right from High School, than there are those of us who linger on in life with a heartbreak or maybe two, but we “Carry On,” Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, in or around 1968, and thereafter Neil Young joined the band, thereafter, played at “Woodstock,” performing, “Deja Vu,” “Carry On,” “Judy Blue Eyes,” “Wooden Ships,”…… just to name a few, there mastery of harmonizing and synchronizing there voices and the instrumental music of each song brought all of us together in unity who lived during this era, just like, President John F Kennedy, “assassinated,” 11/22/1963, whose coin phrase was, “Ask Not What Your Country Can Do For You, Ask What You Can Do For Your Country,”Robert F Kennedy Sr., even as President John F Kennedy, was “ assassinated,” Robert F Kennedy Sr., continued to “Carry On,” and in 1968, began his own Campaign for the Democratic Party, demonstrating and speaking at every Campaign Rally, Unity, Peace & against racial discrimination, on April 4th 1968, Martin Luther King was “assassinated, crushing news hit the Afro-American population and Cultures alike across the U.S.A. Two months and 1 day later, Robert F Kennedy Sr. was “Assassinated,” “June 5th 1968. The United Stated of America and Her People were robbed, stolen from, 3 astute, intelligent unified individuals seeking and only wanting “all good,” for “all people,” across our country of “America,” the echoes of their voices live on in 2024, “Land of the Free, Home of the Brave.” We as Americans, especially, the Baby Boomers & generations brought up by the Baby Boomers from the “Hippie Days,” who influenced the government leaders in the decision making of the Political system in D.C, with the words of John Lennon’s song, “All We Are Saying Is Give Peace A Chance,” The History of our U.S.A., shows the expressiveness of talented individuals throughout the USA for many years to come, 1985, “That’s What Friends Are For.” Dionne Warwick, Gladys Knight, Elton John & Stevie Wonder on “harmonica” (blind from birth,” freedom allowed him to become a talented endowed musician, opening the doors for disabled people across these United States of America. Dictatorship an Authoritarian “government,” in America, U.S.A. losing our freedom of speech, voting, press, the media, “People Get Ready,” The Impressions, 1965. Keep Shining!🌞 p.s. many, many years ago went with a Viet Nam Vet, he watched his whole platoon killed in front of his eyes, we never engaged in sex, he was so thankful to be alive he came up with the slogan, “Keep Shining!”🌞🌌🌠We met in 1970 while attending “Ferris State,” when spending the night together he would wake up in hot flashes, shaking, and cold sweats, in the middle of the night, the psychological effects of “war,” as students on marched across college and university campuses in the USA, for the end to the Viet Nam war…. Power of the People, young voices were heard…..,

I had a Chad & Jeremy CD that I played often when my three children were little. Every time this song came on, my littlest son (at age 3) would say, "Mama! It's our song!". To this day, so many years later, I still get happy tears in my eyes when I hear this beautiful song and remember those precious days. <3
