FWIW, Apple product is manufactured by Foxconn. It's not Apple's factory. Foxconn is actually a Taiwanese company but the factory in question is in China. They have over 100 factories in about 24 countries. It is the Chinese factory in Shenzhen China, not surprisingly, that is where all the human rights controversy is centered. Apple is just who they decided to single out because they are their largest customer. But Sony, Intel, IBM, Google, amazon, HP, and on and on have manufacturing done there. I just wanted to correct the statement that it's "an Apple factory". Apple is fabless, which means they outsource all manufacturing, and have no assembly facilities, which means they don't even assemble their product. And for the record I'm not affiliated with Apple nor do I own a single Apple product. I commend you for your ethics and being willing to pay more as an act of conscious.

Hello i have problem when i want to remove my string it keeps bending and it wont exit from back and im struggling for few days now
@AdamThomasMusicАй бұрын
It sounds like the ball end of the string might have binded with the block. On a lot of cheaper strats they use a zinc block which can bind to the ball end. I'd recommend using a very thin screwdriver to dislodge and push the string end through the back of the block from the top. Good luck!

After so many years, how’re you fairing with the Cioks Ciokolate? Assuming you still use it?
@AdamThomasMusic3 ай бұрын
It's never let me down. Solid as a rock. I've only very recently switched from it to a Cioks DC7, only because I wanted to downsize my pedal board. The DC7 is pretty much just a slightly smaller Ciokolate. I went with the DC7 because of how good the Ciokolate had been to me.
@mephisto-pheles96223 ай бұрын
@@AdamThomasMusic sounds good! Your review helped me buy it a couple days ago, I was just curious and had to ask the obvious. I’ll think about the DC7 if I ever have to make a separate more compact board next time. Thanks again! Be safe!

I did the test on my guitar with 9-42 so I found that changing the outer springs angled vs straight didn't added or reduced tension BUT changed the FEEL of the whammy bar, so, changing the angle of springs won't make your guitar go out of tune if it's already set up properly, having the springs angled makes the whammy bar more precise, angled springs have increased LOAD not increased tension

My dad has this guitar & wants to know if you was to buy it today brand new how much would it be?
@AdamThomasMusic4 ай бұрын
I can't be 100% certain here, as they don't appear to make new guitars anymore. But, if we compared it to the price of other acoustic guitars that are made in Japan, these would possibly sell for around £1300 today if they were brand new. That said, that's just my rough estimate based on other Japanese brands.
@AdamThomasMusic4 ай бұрын
The second hand price on these guitars is still pretty low though, so I doubt you could sell one for anywhere near that amount.

TLDR: Flatwounds sound slightly more mellow and warm, whereas Roundwound (normal strings) sound brighter. If you're interested in trying out flats, give them a go, you'll know if you like them or not after you try them. Either way, it's more important what you play on your guitar, rather than the strings you put on it.
