Is there anything NOT good with this boat? Seems to me you are selling…

This is a much better, and focused review of a boat with a decent amount of sailing clips, now compare this to those YM reviews where you get to see the opening and closing of various lockers.

I wonder if more people have been waiting for these inboards to be available. It's 13 mph slower than the outboard powered model, but much more efficient. Either way, it's a great boat.

Interesting boat, I would love one with a swing keel. I really enjoy being able to sneak up close to beaches and be less concerned about tidal depth, but aslo love good J handling in deeper water. Currently have foils only & ballast boat.

Odd that this one doesn't have a Seakeeper and has retained the strataglass enclosure. I kinda like the absence of the glass.

Very refreshing to hear , nothing like good old commonsense. Good design philosophy , as my father would call it the KISS principal. If possible I would be interested in hearing more form Rod Johnstone.

The mainsheet set up shown while the boat was sailing is different from the one shown on the boat at the dock. Is that to make it easier to get in and out of the boat on the swim deck?

I see it's being listed somewhere else. That's a really nice 50z. This is a great video. You put a lot of time and effort into your business. Nice.
@mkp38242 жыл бұрын
The way it was kicking up the thrust, you'd swear it was a pod drive. That was a lot of churned up water coming out of the bottom, going forward.

Nice boat. There's another 50z, a 2021, that has just been on the market for a few weeks, already has a pending sale. The only advantages that it has on this one is the wood interior, sliding glass, and 650 ips drives. However, the electronics are basic, as best, compared to this one. Especially when you see this has the 12kw generator and entertainment system. I noticed you've edited out the fishing equipment pics online. Maybe that scares people, thinking it's been used heavily as a fish boat, but to me, not being convertible to fishing would be a reason not to look into it. This one's nicer, in my opinion. Who knows.

I never understood why people go to sea and are bound and determined to bring there living room with them. I have all this shit in my house on land. If i wanna go to sea i want a boat thats all business and can handle almost everything and has room to store stuff like food, water and fuel.
@johnsmithfakename84222 жыл бұрын
I understand where you are coming from. I had that mindset for the longest until I realized that there needs to be a boat for every situation, because someone will have a need for said boat. Unfortunately even though I said that, I have a hard time comprehending why people would want to make a yacht that can go faster than 35 knots.
@joshlower12 жыл бұрын
@@johnsmithfakename8422 a yatch should do 20 knots max imo. After that your just wasting fuel.
@johnsmithfakename84222 жыл бұрын
@@joshlower1 I personally think the 20-30 knot range should be the top speed ... but yea the faster boats go the more energy they waste moving water out of the way. This is also why I really like the idea of hydrofoils. Hydrofoils are very energy efficient but at the same time not easy to put into practice.
@brandonbeers79232 жыл бұрын
Because to some ppl that purchase a boat like this, it is an equivalent purchase to most people purchasing shoes. (May not be practical but they cool and pretty) They will drop 1,2 or 3+ mill on a boat that may use 12 days a year and have a crew to take care of it. And they just want all the amenities. Basically they want all the conveniences they have at home on their boat including staff and a quality pooper. It is not my cup of tea, I prefer a simple layout that works for my needs but I’m also not making $30k a day. And really the MJM is a nice build.
@troyezell58412 жыл бұрын
Because, if you want to go away and spend extended time on the water, you don't need a motel room or pay for a mooring. This boat has the range, amenities and space to make an extended day fishing or dive trip without wasting money on external amenities.

@jimmerriman69203 жыл бұрын
I wasn't thrilled with the 3 cabin layout, nor the stair design to get from the cockpit to the interior. In a pitching sea, people need really good hand holds, and steps placed were people instinctfully expect the steps to be, not some eye catching design that protects legs exiting the galley. But don't get me wrong, a two cabin layout of a modern Amel, either and 55 or 60 is one of the finest SVs for the money in my opinion.
@sucapizda3 жыл бұрын
I bet that interior took $200,000 right off the price. I mean they used varnished plywood instead of Mahogany or Teak. Freggin Home Depot Plywood with clear shellack on it. And those black painted floors. Man, fire that designer asap.
