It’s a very reliable car and very good fuel economy, much better than Toyota and Hyundai hybrids, very cheap to run and the best thing the maintenance very cheap as compared to Toyota and Hyuy

I've been driving 22 module of this since day 1 and so far I have done 109k miles on it. For the last 3 hours I have been listening to the very loud trigger sound and I went through manufacturer hand book and I have done everything it suggested but it is still shouting from the top of its lungs. In simple, I wish that I went for something alternative and I probably saved quite lomsom of money.

I don’t know why anyone would bother with the hybrid one. I get 55mpg average out of my 1.5SE L most days.

I thought you had to be able to see in the review mirror , yes you get a rear camera but that only works in reverse!

you still get a normal rear view mirror. but this camera can be turned on at any point, not just when in reverse.

Anyone else think a charging point in front , where it can be damaged in a crash or someone reversing, is a bad idea???

Well, if you do get reversed in to or in a crash the car is going to go in for repair regardless. So ultimately probably doesnt make any difference in the greater scheme of things. Also probably just cheaper to be in the front instead of the back maybe???

Yes the engine is mainly just for recharging the battery. With a 31kWh battery (Tesla Model 3 SR 60kWh) the Electric Motor is the primary method of propulsion.

It's the only means of propulsion. The onboard engine/generator is to charge the fading battery.

Great review just how it should be done, I’m taking one of these for a test drive on Friday, would have gone for the GT line hatchback but with having two black Labradors I need room for them, the wife can go in the boot! Well I don’t want her to be too uncomfortable.

Would have been good to do a more in depth review including rear space which I hear is class leading. Mpg and driving. Just debating if the 1.0 TSI unit is good enough for my needs.

There seems to be alot of owner complaints regarding software issues with majority of this model which affects the use of simple things like aircon and major things like car hitting brakes as the car thinks there is an object in front it. Has this now been resolved or is Skoda still denying there is an issue?

Does the hybrid battery fan have a filter that needs serviced, similar to the Toyotas, and if yes how easy is it to access?

There is no battery in 1.0 tsi evo e-tec, If you are driving at about 60kmh and go off the gas pedal the car goes into off mode (gliding) when you press the gas pedal it turns on again the engine.it works upp to 130kmh (gliding)
