She moved to Croatia in 2012 and this interview is from 2022. She lives 10 years in croatia and is not able to say a single croatian word....what a masterpiece of integration she really is. I don't support this insane politics that anybody can live in croatia, buy propertie etc. It's not because of hate towards strangers, it's because I love croatia, our Catholic values and tradition. I don't want croatia to become a lost country like the USA or Europeian states (just take a look what's happening there). We are to small for this insane politics. Today there are absolutely no restrictions for anything and anybody to come to croatia and stay here. All western countries except maybe Poland are already messed up with this multi kulti bullshit, and know we need to be finished also or what!? This needs to stop.

How great is that! Foreigners move to already highly priced rent cities, live as digital nomads, do not pay any taxes. The domestic population is being robbed off affordable housing, as you foreigners are pushing the housing prices. Croat workers are most taxed in the EU . If you earn above 20K EUR/yr, you are in the highest tax category. While Croats are barehandedly moving to Germany, etc, where they pay taxes from their first day. The government of Croatia did not care that half a million people left in the last 10 years for richer EU countries. You did not die for this country! Croatia needs its diaspora to return. Those foreigners with their Peter Pan lifestyle, without family and kids are making Croats pay for them.

stop shitting and whining, get an education and you'll earn good money in Croatia. who are you that because you don't have an apartment, someone can't rent their apartment to some digital nomad from New Zealand who lives in Split for 1000.00, but to you 'poor Croat' and that's only because you're Croatian, I guess (according to you ) you have the right to a discount when renting an apartment for 500.00e, and thus he will lose 500.00e just to enable you, a Croatian, to live in xy city in Croatia. this is a free and liberal country where everyone does what they want with their property, and the people who come to Croatia as digital nomads leave their money here for the most part, much more than you and people like you who work for the minimum wage and this society has you the least benefit. split is not for everyone, you have Slavonia, Moslavina, Lika and other parts of Croatia, they are cheaper to live in and people like you should go there, or you are free to leave Croatia because it is not your property and you do not claim it. good luck!

Thinking of moving to Croatia under the digital nomad visa. Have yet to watch the entire video but glad you have Sara Dyson on. I have seen her interviewed before and checked out her business. Edit: Watched it all now. The overriding message is that the Croatian government makes it very difficult for non-Croatians to set up businesses and to live and work in Croatia. Perhaps they could take a leaf out of the Cayman Islands governments book who have allowed the establishment of an organisation called Cayman Enterprise City to attract foreign businesses to move to Cayman.

You mentioned that you already knew the language prior to moving to Croatia. Did you learn the language from a young age since your father was from Croatia or did you learn it as an adult? I had visited Croatia many years ago and just like many others that you mentioned, fell in love with it, and I'm considering learning the language. I live in the U.S. in a large metroplex, and I do understand that Croatian speaking opportunities would be very limited here. While I do plan on visiting Croatia again, I have no plans to move there. So naturally I would have to seek out people online on sites like italki or Preply for example to practice and maintain the language with, but I feel like it would be worth it.
