@@biomechanism1 haha 😆 No, for many years the CMV cost like 1-1.5k. it's just now in recent years it's increased like many other vintage microphones. You can still find one for a decent price and in comparison to a Neumann U47 it's a bargain

Wow, you really improved your singing! The mic sounds great, but a 47 type of mic is too dark for my purposes, I guess. Would you mind to share, which headphones you were using for tracking?

@@abzee733 thanks, I practiced quite allot the past year and improved so thanks for noticing 🙂 I always use the HD25 from Sennheiser. I like how they sound and they are isolated enough to not leak to much while recording. Thanks for watching ✌️

@@Christian_svedin I'd be interested to know if you've practiced singing with headphones, or have you never had any problems? I've been a musician myself for more than 20 years and have really good hearing and more or less perfect relative pitch, but my goodness, as soon as I put those damn cans on I sing flat every time. I also did some research and this seems to be an issue for a lot of people. It's often associated with the mix being too loud or with phase shifts or too high latency, but I've checked everything for myself and actually the only thing that helps for me is to have more or less both ears free so that I get normal acoustic feedback from the room. I see that you wear the headphones on both ears when tracking, so respect to you. I certainly wouldn't be able to do that!

@@abzee733 I practice allot with headphones, I have a whole practice routine I might do an episode on. For me there is a discrepancy between me playing and singing at the same time and recording both separately. I do sing certain things better while playing and singing at the same time, other things suffer. One thing you can practice is you sing a phrase without cans, and record it. Then put on cans and just try to replicate the line the exact same way through muscle memory. That way you can try to adjust, or atleast hear exactly how you sound. Also recording is like taking a photo. If you say you always look ugly in photos then you might look ugly IRL 🤣🤣 The truth is usually somewhere in-between

Nice video. Can Dynamic EQ function also like somekind of "mastering deesser" to which you can "push" the mastering EQ units (placed before SSL) into? Does it have Q settings or just frequency band settings? I'm looking all oer the place for some mastering hardware deesser to play with in a mastering chain if needed, and the only ones that "make the target" (have specs. that don't destroy your mix) are over 3000 eur, more like 4000 eur. So I'm looking for a cheap way out, haha.

Also, since you are such a great musician, if you released some songs of popular covers and then did a quick very quick tour of how you Recorded the song and gear you used you could attract gearheads, as well as music fans. There are tons of people out there doing covers they don’t have 1/10 of your talent.

Just keep going. Your skills are great, and so is your channel. Your channel will grow organically but it takes eating your subscriber list up to where it can hit a critical mass. Once it does that the rate of expansion is faster and faster. Please keep going.

I love to see how bias works on people. I would love if someone could do a test like this but provide wrong images/sound relation to fool people. I bet 100% of people would still "love" and prefer the DW Fearn even the sound being actually from a Weight Tank. 😂

I bought this inner tube a few months ago and absolutely love it. The mic is much hotter and I have to turn down the preamp. It's as if a cloth is pulled off the highs and the bottom is so present. Put it next to a royer 122v and a Gefell UM900 and the InnerTube 67 was hands down the best for most scenarios. It really is a very big difference. Happy to have done it.

Are you starting with the Trim or output all the way up because that's how they are made to run at optimal sound. I just found this out . I was setting it wrong with my output set to 50 % . It sounds a 100 times better when used with the output knob all the way up then turn the red gain up slowly till u find your levels and it sounds tremendous. I wasn't impressed myself before either.
