Looks great, but it's backwards. Shrimp swim the opposite direction.
@lowcountrytobackcountryins30495 күн бұрын
@user-mn7hn3qs7v you may want to watch some videos of actual shrimp swimming. The can move both directions. If you look at Savage Gear, Voodoo Shrimp, Live Target Shrimp they also are all oriented to swim in this manner. I do tie a lot of shrimp flies that move in the other orientation. They also work great. Thank you for watching!

I'm baffled on why you were messing around with the trolling motor so much When you lost that fish?
@lowcountrytobackcountryins3049Ай бұрын
I was trying to get between the dolphin and the snook. My first priority was to make sure those little jerks didn't eat him. The snook was on a little shallow flat that had a channel next to it. After I initially kept him from getting in the mangroves I didn't put the heat on him too much again till I got close to him. I didn't want to pull him in the deeper water where they could get to him. The snook there always drop off that flat into the channel at the end of the fight to make a last stand once they realize the mangroves are no longer an option. I'd rather lose the snook than have him eaten.

How would you compare it to quick shooter xp??? I like xp i just got outbound short floating i wouldnt mind adding a 3rd line to my quiver. .... mind you i fish costal bridges and urban enviroments i mostly use spey cast techniques rarely am i over head casting
@lowcountrytobackcountryins3049Ай бұрын
I have never used XP so o can't compare. I have been curious about XP myself. I am really into all clear lines more so I ended up using the Striper Mainstream more. I fished the Outbound 1 time. If the Mainstream was a full 100 feet it would be one of my favorite lines ever. The Outbound has just been sitting in the box. If you need a 10wt I'd sell it for 60 bucks shipped. It does cast great but I have tremendous confidence in the all clear lines so I tend to fish them.

Are you feeding line on the false casts? I have the outbound short on a 8wt predator and I’m lucky to get 40’-60’.
@lowcountrytobackcountryins30492 ай бұрын
I only feed line til I get the complete head out of the rod. Are you coming to a hard stop on the back cast and letting the line unroll completely before beginning your forward stroke and haul? I'm assuming you're double hauling.
@cs1089Ай бұрын
@@lowcountrytobackcountryins3049 Nice review! If you are only carrying the head of the fly line which I think is 30' on the backcast, then you are shooting 60-70' of line? thanks.
