Sorry to bug you but I’ve been stuck trying to make sure my 2013 kymco agility 50cc is the same engine as the gy6. I’m looking at a 21mm carb but after doing research people say 19 might be better for top speed. I just got my moped two weeks ago but got it running well stock now and have rollers and a variator kit coming in the mail today so excited to see how they works. Gonna do a few more mods but probably not a big bore or anything expensive this moped is just for fun gonna buy a ninja400 or something alike soon to get around faster

@GhettoWrench I bought a replacement carburetor for my gy6 250cc. It's a water cooled factory rear disk brake and factory 30mm carburetor. I've had this thing since 2016 or 17 and finally getting around to mess with it. I bought it not running. It only had 400 miles and it seems the pickup coil went bad and the cdi. I replaced both of them and the carburetor that sat since last year needed cleaned. After doing that it still wont run nearly at all. Sometimes i can get it to start and rev but most of the time it barely spits and sputters. Im curious if the jets are interchangeable from ine cvk to another. I figured i would take the jets out of the factory carburetor and put them in the newer one so its jetted as it was originally. Other than that the only thing i can think of would be adjusting the valves. I wouldn't think a cvk of the same size would cause it not to run but who knows. It now has spark all the time. Before it would run but barely, the spark appeared to be inconsistent. I have fixed a million of the gy6 150cc, this thing is the bane of my existence i swear.

Nibbi should have something in the 21/22mm size range. I have a 30mm Nibbi PE carb on my Hawk 250 that is the round slide like yours. The only different is they offer two variants of the PE carbs in two different color choices which are raw aluminum like your and black with anodized red like mine. The variant that offers more sizes is the slip-in version not the one with the intake flange. I think the biggest size you can get for the flanged version is 28mm which a lot of people also like to buy for their Hawk 250's. The biggest you can get for the slip-in PE carbs is the 30mm. Any bigger than that and it goes to the PWK model. Also, good info on the PWK carbs, they're exactly what I'm looking for. My two vintage Yamaha dirt bikes need new carbs and I don't want to pay big money for original carbs from the era's. My 76 IT400 needs a new carb, the one on it has something broken off and my 81 YZ465 never had a carb when I got it since it's a basket case project.

@@GhettoWrench I think I bought a 22mm version of the slip-on Nibbi for a three wheeler I have. Never got to use it on the three wheeler though since it's been apart for a while. The flanged version is actually better over the slip-on model when it comes to the Hawk 250 though. It keeps the proper distance of the original carb so people were able to keep their air boxes. With my slip-on model I needed a new intake adapter and had to rid of my air box for just a pod filter. But if you're wanting to run a pod filter anyway it's not a big deal.

@Brujiito333 well fuel will not improve unless it is fuel injected and that costs too much for these cheapo bikes. An AFR will only help tune jet size and once that throttle is open all that matters is main Jet size and it is the only adjustable parameter. You will still adjust that for speed and not stoichiometric mixture so no improvement there. As far as timing, a computer can not advance ignition timing so again, once up to RPM you can only retard from a fixed mechanical point on the flywheel. These are sitting at 28 ish degrees so there is no advancement available.
