You are a brilliant teacher Ms Brenda, and very upbeat and infectious as well. Thank you for your teaching, kinda’ wish that I could manage in person lessons with you. I loved the way you continued onward and upwards at 16:39, when you had a bit of an error with the D and E notes sounding at the same time giving a momentary “clash”, but demonstrating that you just keep going. Well done👌

Something that helps me work through my bumbling stumbling and clunking through chord progressions. Get your fingering decided for each chord of the progression, then close your eyes and make yourself go through the progression. Try to feel your way around the piano without looking at it. As I told someone, unless you’re a fish with one eye on each side of your head you’re going to make yourself crazy. You can’t focus on both hands at the same time, it’s impossible. One of them is going to have to be on auto pilot. Two of the most inspiring and talented pianists, Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles. Both completely blind. Both masters of the keys. Think about that.

As always Brenda an excellent and fun video. Really enjoy your mini-tutorials. They are insightful and really have helped bring out an ability to improvise breaking through the chord chart barrier or should I say the inability to play solely using triads predominantly in root position etc. Looking forward to the next one! I have quite a few of your chord charts now and will eventually get round to printing them off and compiling them into a go-to folder which I can use to just play an impressive repertoire when asked to sit and play for people. Thanking you muchly.
