They were very odd ending credits. I think if they put in more effort they could have saved the show a hugely missed opportunity the anorak slot an example of a lack of creativity and thought. Like The Big Breakfast was making fun of its former self be cool make no effort

I have a question for anyone watching this who has a keen ear. Can you decipher the lyrics in two of the jingles; Break An Egg and Spill The Beans? 8:10 "Take your partner ........... .......... and a do-si-do. Find a word and shake a leg, get out of bed and break an egg.". 9:58 "Don't say erm, don't say um. Spill the beans, it's a lot of fun. Don't stutter, just .......... Spill the beans and make a mess.". I have wondered about these lyrics for some thirty years, but never thought to ask anyone. This needs to be solved, I need to know what those lyrics are.

I've never seen the full theme before, when did they use this as the opening? I grew up watching Rainbow. Born in '83, so I probabky would have enjoyed it from '85 on.

Dear God! For the first time in thousands of years we've stopped improving as a species and started going backwards. For the UK at least, the human race reached its pinnacle in the 90s.

Incredible that this was thirty years ago. I don’t remember this segment but the programme I’m general was a phenomenon. So sad that not only did Paula die so long ago but that Peaches, who was then only three or four, has now already been dead almost a decade. But on the upside it’s great seeing Lucy Beaumont helping her mum commit fraud.

Just a little thing I noticed recently, and it has taken me over 30 years to spot it, is something about the sequence at the train station. Be pre-warned, this may only be of minor interest to a few hardcore fans, but here we go... ...The camera panning down to the platform is actually an illusion. If you really study it, the camera was in a fixed position and the image was manipulated with a zoom and perspective effect in post-production. It's hard to explain, and my video might not be the best quality footage to study it. But there are higher res videos out there, so do have a look elsewhere if this is of interest to you. I'll try my best to describe what's going on, but it's tricky to explain and I apologise in advance that this is a scrappy way of putting it... ...Imagine holding a photo up to a camera. Keep the camera still, but slightly tilt the top edge of the photo down whilst moving it upwards and also towards the camera. Does that make sense?! The key to spotting it is mainly with the vertical lines in the image. Once you spot it, you'll never be able to unsee it. If even one person finds that mildly interesting, that'll be enough for me.

As someone into complex camera-work, this is very interesting thank-you. The give-away is that the vanishing points of the image (a line you can draw along parallel surfaces which cross because vision is spherical) remain static in terms of where they converge with eachother when if the camera were moving, we'd see them get closer or further away from eachother. I didn't know this illusion was possible, and in retrospect I've started seeing it in lots of 1990's films which want to represent the effect of vertigo on a budget.

God, could you imagine how mental the "woke" "sjw" "me too" lot would get watching this. They would be frothing at the mouth whilst getting offended on everyone elses behalf for the insinuation of violence against a woman on television - by a white middle-aged MAN 😱
