Leon's having Fun. Willie sure can pick. And everyone's cementing the reputation that is Austin. Plus it's my favorite Hank Sr. song! Gotta love this way back machine.

I got to see Willie and Waylon in the late seventies out in California! But I can only listen to Willie because Waylon in true fashion was too damn drunk to stand up! Willie carried the show for over 3 hours!

Leon asked Waylon to come out. Y'all may not realize but Waylon and Willie were "uncle" like mentors to Leon.❤❤❤

Today's musical artists with all their fancy bells and whistles just do not compare to the raw and pure performances of these guys. Go Doug Kershaw, you Cajun cutie-pie, you.
@rjwh6722014 күн бұрын
I’d forgotten how hot Doug Kershaw was. And look, Willie’s guitar only has one hole in it.
Rest in peace Joe Bonsall (Oak Ridge Boys), he looked like Lionel Ritchie in this clip. Duane Allen looks pretty much the same now as he did then, with a little less hair, William Lee Golden looks totally different with shorter hair and beard, Richard Sterban has longer hair these days.

I saw Willie and Leon in Concert around 78' or so. I'm older than dirt, and still glad to have lived my life back in those days. ✌️
@mikethebike737211 күн бұрын
Yeah , me too. Actually I was part of the group that created dirt. We tried to make it without any dust , didn't quite get there. We saw Leon 3 times late '69 and twice in the 70's. The Girls loved him and so did we. About half way thru his 2 hr set he would get up on the piano and dance while Don Preston played the guitar. We were always trippin". Good Times.

@@mikethebike7372 Lucky. I'm not quite that old, but almost. 😊 I've seen Joe Cocker in concert, but I wish I could have seen him and Leon together. I'm glad to have lived that life and time, even if I am old as dirt. ✌️
