An underrated and often ignored great talent. Been a fan for decades. Texas style country.

I saw this when it was broadcast in 2005. Immediately bought the album- someone compared her to Neil Young. Spot on- love the riffs that rip to the bone -so much emotion with each song. Followed her ever since. I am a singer songwriter/ Guitar player and I play some of her songs in my sets.

Crazy how he didn't sing one vocal line that's the same as the album version. He was improvising the whole time

this is my favourite set I’ve ever heard. I was just a teenager and I came for Monsters and Men and ended up crying so hard through this set I truly fell in love. The rest of the day didn’t matter. ❤

The Selections portayed could have been more Engaging and SO SO DARK... Have found that COWBOY JUNKIES "Uplifting Tunes" are TRULY SPECIAL, particularly if THIS is One's FIRST INTRODUCTION to Michael Timmins' Songwriting and the Band's LIVE Performances. Believe that PROGRAMMING is SO VITAL in Building an ARTIST'S PROFILE and SUCCESSFUL ADOPTION. Thank You for letting me Share my Thoughts on Such an INFLUENTIAL & INSPIRING Recording Artist's CRAFT. 1995 by chance I heard Black Soul Choir on a local radio station...I called as many people and told them no matter what is going this evening we have to go and see this band 16 Horsepower. About 8 of my friends and I went (all in our 50's now) ...just a 3 piece with the original bass player on an upright bass and Jean-Y being amazing on the drums. When DEE took out the Accordion my life changed forever as did some of my friends.....I don't believe in god but i'd let DEE preach anyday to me.....He has more talent in a hangnail than most in the musical world. Wovenhand is the same to me also....so good! Like you, I hope cooler heads prevail! Ty ROTS2

I'm relatively new to Cowboy Junkies, probably two years. I have go so far as to buying an album and have probably seen all that is screened on KZfaq. I don't think I have seen one song performed that wasn't brilliant. Everything is just enough and beautiful at the same time.
@Genjo_N_MojaveАй бұрын
@stevelawrie9115 If you haven't seen the Cowboy Junkies Austin City Limits show of August 1990, it's a must see IF you can find it. Some of the pieces of that performance can be found on KZfaq. They only performed six songs, and if you can't find that show from 34 years ago, you*might* be able to purchase a DVD of it on Amazon, maybe, perhaps? The 1990 ACL show hypnotized me when I saw it on a hot summer August night.
