No, they obviously don't. It's just a hard character for them to work with. Currently Disney and Marvel's model is "make everything part of one franchise so you can lend credibility to other projects with the franchise". The Punisher is an R-rated character with a history of controversy. Despite that, they've made 2 live action films, they've partnered with Netflix to make 2 seasons of a show dedicated to him and included him in a 3rd. That show ended on Netflix's part, the same way all the Netflix Marvel shows did. And only recently have they included anything more mature, in Deadpool and Wolverine, in the MCU. That combined with the fact that dickheads keep using him as an inspiration or misusing his logo as a prominent symbol of hate speech, makes him incredibly hard to market. He's already the antihero who needs a violent MA-R rated film or series to do justice, which is hard to tie into your family friendly branding, who also ends up in a conversation about every mass shooting or incident of police brutality particularly when abusive cops are wearing patches with his logo on them. It's a PR mess to incorporate into their brand, hence why they alternate between sending him off to prestige miniseries or trying to take some of the anti off his hero. Jon Bernthal's Punisher was awesome, and I hope he gets another shot at it. But it's not hard to get why this doesn't fit with Disney's brand.

When the punisher is more himself in daredevil than in his own show... Also he talks like a normal dude in Daredevil and ends up doing a really awful Christian Bale batman voice in the show. Just bad.

Frank is supposed to be this stoic and quiet force of nature that strikes fear in the worst of human beings. Ray stevenson, even though his movie was a bit bad with the dialog, captured the energy and personality of Frank Castle perfectly.

I guess it's just difficult to get a Punisher series/film right without making it essentially a flat action-shoot 'em up story with no real impactful dialogue. The Punisher is a flat character who has had opportunities to stop his crusade against crime but refuses to every time because he doesn't know how to let go. Sometimes I think that Frank doesn't change because then he'll have to take in all of his actions and process how many people he's killed in his warpath because he couldn't process his grief.

How about Miles’ interest in music, the way he tackles his secret identity problem, his relationship with his villain uncle, his unique power set that he has to figure out on his own, and his relationship with his parents? Ngl, in Miles solo "game" I severely lost interest in the end lol. Like the whole insomniac Universe, the first game was perfect, and after trying to rope in more spider people, it just got too boring, especially with the oversaturation of Spiderman/people stuff. Thanks to Spiderverse, Thousands of comic runs/reboots, the games, its just... meh at this point.

I think Miles is perfectly prepared to be Spider-Man, given everything he was able to do in his solo game. Plus, I really don’t think that they’re going to completely toss Peter away in Spider-Man 3 and have the game solely be Miles and Cindy, I’m 100% sure Peter will still be there as a third playable character, to face off against the Green Goblin and Doc Oc.

I personally think insomniac’s miles is ready to be the main spider-man, he’s 100x better at being spider-man than Peter when he first started (thanks to Pete’s mentoring) he saved the people of Harlem from the thinker and roxxon by himself. With the Norman and Otto issue, we’ve had three games were the final villain is a close friend of the spiders who get their redemption seconds prior to dying/getting arrested. I think pure evil villians with no personal connection to the spiders can be better for the franchise. While I’ll agree that miles is less funny then Peter. His charm doesn’t come from his wit, it comes from his heart. Yes Peter had a heart too, but his casual demeanour usually overshadowed his caring side

Good points you had in this video include that the connection between Miles and Norman and Otto really isn't there. Him being relatable, having a character, and being funny, really comes down to who you are as a person. I may always be a Peter Parker fan before a Miles fan, not do I really care for Miles that much but he separates himself differently enough where he can be interesting to others even if he's not to me. So your video is like 5% valid concerns and 95% talking out your ass.

In all fairness, MAFEX, SH Figuarts and Figma offer much with about 80-100$ price because they have TONS of accessories, impressive sculpt and insanely articulated, and I want to mention the fact that I saw a shirtless Gojo statue figure (that ISN'T articulated with barely any accessories) for 500$ online. I don't much about Figma (because I'm a Marvel collector), but I'm sure they are cooking with their Demon Slayer figures. About Hasbro; The GI Joe figures are either perfectly priced or underpriced as they are amazingly sculpted with mindblowingly good animal figures for only about 20-30$. I'd say the Black Series Star Wars is kind of overpriced, you are paying about 20$ for decent articulation with a few accessories (looking at you, 50$ Dark Revan with poor *ss articulation with only 2 accessories). Marvel Legends is a little conflicted, they are overpriced with charging a full 20$ for no effort-placed figures such as Darwin (Bonebreaker Wave) & Cannonball (Wendigo Wave?), but they also charge only 20$ for spectacular figures such as Doctor Doom (Super Skrull Wave) or Beast (Retro), so Marvel Legends is kind of in the middle of perfectly priced and overpriced. I swear, the fact bro stated that MAFEX & Toybiz are the same quality is wild 💀 You just provided proof that you are not a figure collector, talking sh*t about figures. The Punisher just does not make sense in a world with a city like NYC having 400 murders a year. Its not a fluke that he was his most popular when the murder rate soared to 2200 people a year back in the 90s.

But in other countries the punisher is liked by everyone because people know the reality of the society in most places in general other than the US. Marvel has been out of touch with The Punisher ALMOST ever since they started business with woke-@$$ DISNEY. "Frank Castle is a stone cold KILLER." - Garth Ennis. You're gonna take what we wanna see with the Netflix show, turn him into a conflicted character that starts off in a therapy group each and every season, so some "Joker-Type" character digging foxholes in his father's backyard who winds up killing a bunch of people and causing havoc, drives Frank to do what he should be doing, and what we get is 2 minutes of THE PUNISHER at the very end of the season during the last shot. Then Marvel goes and changes his emblem because a bunch of idiots are driving their cop cars or Hick@$$ Chevy trucks around town with gun racks on the back window with Punisher stickers plastered somewhere on the rig, and they take away Franks guns and give him swords. This reminds me of the dumb story arc they did years ago before Garth Ennis returned him to normalcy during his Welcome Back Frank series, where angels come down from heaven and show him his family is happy there, and direct him to clean up their messes on earth so he can be reunited with them. STOOPID.

The punisher is a character that mainstream people simply won't watch a show about if all he does is killing. What they did in the TV show is frankly a good balance of something acceptable by mainstream audiences and remains true to the essence of the Punisher. He still kills people, he still likes to kill people. He protected amy in the opening of season 2 as an excuse to kill more people, he rejected death in season 1 because he wants to kill more people like Rawlins. The punisher in the comics is a villain, straight up which is what makes him interesting in the comics, but if he remained the same in the TV show, no one would follow through the entire show. Making him an anti hero who struggles with the itch of killing, and PTSD is a lot more acceptable and interesting. The punisher in the show is someone who kills scumbags because that's his view on justice and his method to "save" good people, and because he likes it. The punisher in the comics is just a killer who kills because he likes killing, and the people he kills happen to be scumbags.

I don’t think BOG is necessarily “underrated” in the discussion of best DB movie. DBS Broly may have the best animation to date, Super Hero may have some of the best characterization in the franchise (minus Goku forgetting the importance of meditation😂), Fusion Reborn may have the coldest climax of any movie, etc. but BOG is just THE best DB movie all around. SSG may be the best form that adapts a “simpler is better” approach and I personally feel that it’s the one DBS form that’s aged the best (Ultra Instinct is still too relevant to determine if it’s aged better).
