Lovely view of the Seven Sisters - I've only seen it from Seaford Head.

Hi Bret, looks like you need to loosen off the topping lift to allow the mainsail to function properly. Once the mainsail is hoisted it supports the boom. We have a Sadler 34 as well and really enjoy sailing when we can, which is not enough 😊 Gavin

Give the sensor a tap underneath the shower tray as it’s reading OUT on the far right instrument. Depth sensor is located there

Hi Brett, it’s a bit difficult to see from the video, but my observations would be 1. Sadler 34s are mostly headsail driven. Yours looks old and worn, but more importantly looks like a no3. That means there are two bigger sails and one smaller for gales. On my 34 I would use that in a F6. What was the wind strength? 2. It looks like the topping lift on the main should be eased about 20-30cm. Also, from your previous videos it looked like you need a bit more halyard tension, I.e. winch the sails up the mast harder. Good luck with it.

That’s very helpful Thankyou I will do that… I expect to be out soon in a F4,5 or maybe 6 if I get 4 - 5 knots under sail only I will be very happy 😄

Very interesting! I have a Sadler 34 with a ST4000(next size up). It steers very well but sometimes gets overpowered, but setting the sails with a neutral helm is the trick. Raymarine sell all the mounting bits, like the tiller pins and brackets if mounting at an angle doesn’t work. Good luck with it.

I bought a 1970 A7 Avenger SS which was quicker and faster than the later 3 cylinder. They were everywhere on the tracks back then.

I always thought mach 3's were the 500's, and mach 4's the 750, so this would make this a mach 2 350cc

72 or 73 ? The confusion may be because different markets had slightly different models . American , British and European bikes had suttle differences. Also not all models are available in all markets. Cheers.

Top marks for not calling it a Boyer Branston {pickle} ignition kit ! I had a KH500 {the slow one}, ported to within an inch of its life, which used to eat clutches, in spite of springs and extra washers that gave me a left hand grip like Garth, but it was immense fun until I had to buy new plates again. Best regards from Burry Port, 15 miles west of Swansea, and have a good 2024.

That looks more like a 73!?!. The 72 didnt have that paint color or front disc brakes? And the engine covers were’t polished on the sides in 72.. still a beautiful bike!! I have one just like it in my garage👍🏻😀🇺🇸

I had the 1972 and a 1973 Kawasaki 350 triples. The 1972 was faster, but it only had four main bearings, the primary drive side of the crank would flex burning the thrust washers on the rod… i’ve seen rods completely turning, purple, and blue from being squeezed due to the flex ..this was corrected the following year by installing six main bearing cranks in the Kawasaki 350 triple.. these were great bikes that handeled just as well as the RD 350s at the racetrack, I raced both, but the 350 Kawasaki triples did not survive crashes .. The engine was a bit wide..the RDs engines survived tossing them down the track repeatedly..mine was..
