I've enjoyed your reactions and reviews immensely... thanks for being significantly more thoughtful and reflective than the loudest opinions out there. I've felt a bit mixed about the series too - navigating the morally grey needs more careful script writing and character development, and this came up short a bit too often. But I agree completely, the lightsaber duels were phenomenal. And Yoda will always win me over.

I love that the show introduced things never seen on screen for the first time. Plagueis, crystal bleeding, cortosis. Overall I was happy with the final episode. Sadly they wasted the whole 7 on flashbacks, most of which we already knew from Ep3. But I still hope for S02 focusing on Osha, Qimir and Plagueis Manny Jacinto's portrayal of Qimir was absolutely amazing. And he got the best lines

@@Spawn8154 Yoda hid the creation of the clone army from the Senate during the Clone Wars. The cloud of the dark side was over the Jedi during the High Republic. I have my issues with the show but Yoda not knowing about Sol/Twins/Qimir is not one of them

Yoda has been covering up the truth and allowed Order 66 to happen. He even somehow knew Darth Bane’s Rule of Two during the Clone Wars without even encountering any Sith records. Yoda’s entire career has been making one cover up for another.

It's good to see that you liked it, because I absolutely hated it. It was such a stupid display almost from start to finish. The lightsaber fights were done pretty well for the most part, and some of them were downright good. But there were some things that just sucked. I'll explain why I say that, though i'm afraid this will just be one of many comments that ends up deleted because of what's been happening lately. The knights all died stupid deaths in a weird fight against a dude that has, probably, a Cortosis helmet and bracers to defend against lightsabers. The sheer amount of times where people could have hit one another with a lightsaber or used the force to attack or defend but didn't was astonishing. It was really nothing more than a display of showing "The Sith is stronger than everyone you guys!", only for a Padawan of all people to do a better job than anyone else. The moment when they could kill the Sith, they didn't because "Reason"?. I mean the guy killed half of the characters we didn't see enough of to care about, while some of them got a pretty big power boost and others were just left useless until they had their neck snapped. I also thought it was weird how they went with a "More lightsabers = More strong!" angle. Also, the sheer amount of hand to hand combat, which while looking cool, seemed really weird in a Star Wars setting, especially since Sol kept hitting the dude in the helmet.... All in all, what I expected to happen kinda happened. People saw the shiny glowsticks and forgot how badly written this show has been so far, and are saying it's good now. It's not. It really is not.

Mae was gonna surrender to the jedis because and then she wasnt and started fighting the jedi padawan instead of idk surrender like she said? Mae betrayed her master and said her alliance is with her sister and then she left her injured sister alone in a planet with aggressives creatures and the evil master? Sol didnt sense she wasnt Osha? didnt smell the burned hair? didnt see the tattoo on her forehead? I mean who write this thing? the lightsaber fight was barely watchable, was super dark and a lot was blocked by trees.

Major studios need to stop retconning beautiful IP and ruining it. Cool fight scene, but the show breaks a lot of important star wars lore. Sith are supposed to be in total hiding at this point with no interaction with the jedi

@@Indyoda When like 6 jedi knights and two masters go missing they will go to the planet and find them with lightsaber wounds in their bodies. Writing this out of the show will be extremely difficult to do in a believable and nuanced way. The writers have already shown they aren't capable of such a feat. There are so many rich and Lore centric stories in the star wars universe with female leads. I will never understand why the writers and producers tried to make their own story when they clearly have no respect for the star wars universe and no ability to create a compelling story on their own.

@@Indyoda Do you know about the rule of two? Why it is so important for the Sith to work from the shadows and not let the jedi know about their existence? Since there are only two Sith at any given time they need to use subterfuge to prepare a deadly strike. Darth Bane killed all the other Sith and established the rule of two because he realized that was the true path of the dark side. Since the Sith cannot share power there can only be two. Since there will always be an army of Jedi they need to use subterfuge and deceit.
