Thank you for the comparison. I had a questio about the case you are using. It seems to be different that the one I have. I cannot fit both the endpin and the cello. I do not see additional cases for sale in their website. Where did you get yours? I do not have CR cello though, I have an NXTa.

I am a cellist, bassist, performing on stages large and small. Enough to make a living, touring. I am always disappointed by those who write critics who usually don't play, or play well.

A 6 string Cello w/ a High E String should be next because the regular 4 strings are in the middle

I appreciate this video because it helps me to understand just how Cello bow technique is completely different from Violin or Viola bow technique. It is a completely different discipline entirely. I sensed it had to be different, but I had no idea of the mechanics of it until now I begin to see it.

This Guadagnini doesn't look similar too the other ones that are very thick in the midsection, almost looking like a mini Montagnana. People like those because the scale length is smaller and more manageable for smaller hands.

I received the Theunis wolf tuner yesterday. Took me a little adjusting and to get accustomed but I am definitely sold a day later, having played a lot with it and comparing without it too. Best device I have tried for wolf taming. I would rate the Krenz modulator I also have used but I would rate it as 2nd to the Theunis. The Krenz I find dampens the overall sound of my cello a bit more than the Theunis, and I feel something missing. I have a bigger problem with the Krenz: it started leaving marks in the varnish. Not cool. I stopped using it early enough to polish out the circular marks using a polish given to me by a luthier. Now I have the Theunis and it meets my needs, resolves the wolf issue and also leaves more of the natural cello sound intact. There's still some sound dampening, but it's a small compromise. The natural wolf on my cello is at the Eb. With the Theunis now I can play the first chord of Bach suite 5 Allemande without having that crunchy wolfy chord. There are times I may remove the wolf tuner, but it's very easy, like 10 seconds to remove and 20 seconds to install. It's like having a fancy dinner jacket for formal dining. The Theunis is indeed a work of art in and of itself and I'm very happy I found one. Thank you, Mr. Theunis! Yours is a gift to all cellists with the wolf at their heels.

The sheet saying to use the open string cannot be right. That's why you used the forth fringer instead, it should have been written that way...

I play the Morin Khuur but of Chinese Inner Mongolian Style (a.k.a. Matouqin) and, I'm still learning. I also own the Mongolian style too. They are both using Nylon strings. Animal strings are more common in not so humid areas. I haven't tried and is curious about using cello strings on morin khuur and set it to viola tuning. Also because I have a cello too.😅

In my view the cello is the instrument that most closely matches the human voice. The tone and registry therefore is very recognizable making the cello a very "likeable" instrument.

The B1 on my 7 strings with baritone scale lengths do this too. And it’s terrible. Only solution appears to be heavier strings
