He is such a boring, old- fashioned and useless man. My greatest respect for Ms. Wintour staying that kind of charming!

I have had the privilege of working with a personality quite similar to the one we see of Anna Wintour and although I found it difficult to get used to at first, I gained so much in work and self-development. I now count that woman as my best experience and am lucky to still be in the same company as her and occasionally get to work with her again. I disliked the interviewers approach, trying to diminish Anna’s contributions by focusing the character of a movie on to her. Cheap trick and sloppy work from the interviewer.

a rather shallow portrayal by the interviewer.

Seriously would that interviewer ask a man the same questions?? What an insulting interview for Anna and for women. She's a successful, driven, disciplined and decisive person and she deserves respect.
@fashiondolldreamer Жыл бұрын
Exactly! I'm soooo tired of the same old-fashioned sexist questions over and over again. This guy should have stopped interviewing women back in the 50's.

She is the "MAN"! No matter you like her style or not... She is leading a very successful magazine. The success can shut a lot of people's mouth.
@bringiton52825 жыл бұрын
Morley's comments on clothes were not funny, uninteresting and showcased a certain lack of elegance. A proper fashion journalist would have analysed Anna's style to detect what she wants people to about her instead.
@aradbs5 жыл бұрын
Not one question about her work. Just “why are you not lovable and warm and nice” who cares? She is an incredible business woman
@fashiondolldreamer Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I wonder how many accomplished MEN get asked that? It's just decades- entrenched sexism, pure and simple. I so wish there was a decent enough interviewer out there who would actually ask her about what she DOES, rather than who she is.
@SA-nb2df6 жыл бұрын
Of all the questions he could have asked this lady, its disgusting that she's asked if she's a 'bitch' & he's only qualified her to be asked that question because she's hugely sucessful . He should retire.
@LauraNatera6 жыл бұрын
Always the same. If a man successes, he is a business man. If a woman successes, she is a b*** and we look for her negative qualities.

Wintour's an absolute troll!
@swaingles6 жыл бұрын
These people like Anna live on the fame they have built throughout the years, not because they know better. It's time to change. If she wants a magazine, she is now capable enough to start her own business. As far as we've seen, Anna is way too expensive to keep for Vogue. It's quite dangerous to allow people stay for so long in power. Vogue needs a man to run it now.

What a sexist, misogynist portrayal of strong and passionate woman! Literally sexist doesn't even touch on the controlling angle the produces were trying capture. Just another example of the privileged (nothing to do with colour) trying to put a threat in their place!

I am in no way exaggerating when I say that I actually felt quite emotional when she said "Certainly, very quietly". She has certainly lived up to the highest possible standards of the fashion savant, and has probably exceeded every one of them. Her tenure and legacy in Conde Nast has definitely earned her a place in fashion history. I'm sorry if I seem like I'm giving a eulogy for Wintour. She has certainly changed my view of what I thought about the fashion industry and the people in it, and she has only fueled my deepest passions for the industry.Hope she and grace live longe and continue making glamorous issues of Vogue :)

As for Karl, I think journalist is not the most accurate word for describing an editor, but maybe he meant in a way that she has a hell of ability to tell fashion story or a world story through fashion. Either way, fashion is more about showing a side that you want people to see, not the whole thing.

Yes, like calling Lagerfeld "Dracula" & saying Galliano "needs a tailor" :-/ He doesn't know what matters or is important or what should be reported on. It's about what they design, not how they themselves look.

she's just doing her job, she needs to be how she is because it get results. people are obsessed with how nice people are, and sometimes to get the job done you have to be tough and you have to forgo niceness. so what if she's scary? people arent machines, she can't be this perfect smily friendly person and do her job properly. life's not like that.

@trublu99211 жыл бұрын
Its funny how she so tough and cold etc etc yet she has taken great effort to rehabilitate her image. I think most of things about her behavior is true she substantiates with her vague responses to direct questions. The fashion industry is overblown in their perceived influence on the world, women especially. I do think she has been judged unfairly in if she were a man with the same behavior, but I also think she's given as good as she gets.
