I thought that the Gonstead method was a specialised course for chiropractors only as it requires a good knowledge of radiology....is this course being taught by a chiropractor???
@OMTTraining7 күн бұрын
No, this is open to any therapist who uses manipulation.. and the use of X-rays for the identification of areas that require HVLA manipulation is an outdated concept that has been disproven, that is discussed in the course and in the up coming book

What were the evidence based medical benefits of this technique? And what does this offer that a chartered physio couldn’t?
@OMTTraining8 күн бұрын
Chartered physiotherapists use this technique, this is actually a workshop where we are teaching physiotherapists osteopathic mobilisation.. there’s a huge evidence base for the positive neurophysiological benefits of mobilisation for the treatment of musculoskeletal issues, it’s a very effective technique to create symptomatic and functional modification through the Mobilisation of joints and the nervous system, relaxation of muscular tone, improvement of movement and reduction of pain, you can read more about this through our published research or published books on the topic, you can access this by the OMT online platform.. when these techniques are combined with exercise rehab, it creates a fantastic foundation for long-term pain reduction for patients

For those who never heard and for those who wanna share it. HERE IS THE MILLION-DOLLAR QUESTION: Will you go to Heaven when you die? Here’s a quick test: Have you ever lied, stolen, or used God’s name in vain? Jesus said, “Whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” If you have done these things, God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart, and the Bible warns that one day God will punish you in a terrible place called Hell. But God is not willing that any should perish. Sinners broke God’s Law and Jesus paid their fine. This means that God can legally dismiss their case: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Then Jesus rose from the dead, defeating death. Today, repent and trust Jesus, and God will give you eternal life as a free gift. Then read the Bible daily and obey it. God will never fail you.❤❤❤

It very much depends on the cause of the thoracic outlet syndrome, as that can have a multitude of factors from soft tissue restriction to trauma so it depends on the patient and it depends on the mechanism of action regarding the condition and what techniques would be appropriate?

@OMTTraining12 күн бұрын
That’s quite an old osteopathic concept, and although it covers some of the basic concepts of tissue changes, asymmetry, restriction of movement, tenderness etc they are probably much better and more modern and expansive diagnostics mnemonics for you to follow..
