Mr. Kemp explains enormous absurdities with a lot of class and persuasion. And to think that he is considered one of the greatest specialists of Leonardo da Vinci....😩

It is amazing at the number of 'winners' that , these artists and images have maintained a level of innovation, expression and revelation ...and stay relevant over many years!

The idea of connecting the Mona Lisa to renaissance poetry, is just one of the many gems Martin Kemp brings to this lecture…brilliant

On my shortlist of favorite American Masters (even though he was Hungarian, originally). Love his work!

Sad that he died young. I think the landscape with the eucalyptus trees looking down to a pond in the distance is extraordinary and and many of the other landscapes are really excellent. It's delightful to see SoCal given an impressionist treatment. The portraits seem too serious by contrast. Maybe those were done for money more than love.

Beautiful exhibit, but I would love to see this video in Landscape mode, not vertical cell phone mode. Too much floor and ceiling, and sides whited out. I better see it in the museum IRL.

I think a narrative commenting on the pieces would have been more meaningful. The last exhibit in that room with the artist’s commentary was fabulous.

It seems that some of de Erdely's works might have been inspired by the trials that immigrants might experience in arriving in new surroundings--I appreciate your insights into his work, Jean.

Martin Kemp may be a Leonardo scholar but that doesn't mean he has a good eye. He gives expensive lectures claiming he knows why he did....But... Leonardo did not paint the Salvator Mundi. Here's proof: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/kLiekq2A2p2RpIk.html
