Transcript: from 0:13 - 0:32 "We have gotten a number of calls from upset car drivers that there is two cars; one black and one red, likely sports cars that drives like maniacs. If not for this video, the open blowoff valve, the thing that dumps the air pressure from the turbo would not have been as prominent as it became in the Fast and the Furious movies. It sounds so cool. A year after this video my brother bought a Escort Cosworth with the exact same mods as the one in the video. God damn, it was the most fun car I have ever driven. He had a couple of Sierra Cosworth´s too, but even though the RWD made them fun they never came close to be as fun as the 4WD Escort with 120hp more. (The sierras had the 330 kit. The escort had that kit too, but then some other mods on top that made it from 330hp to 4-450hp. SO MUCH FUN!

Hey mate I am trying to disable the code on a 1997year alpine c33 I got the board out and its a different layout but how can I recognise what chip is that ? Does it have a name or what is usually connected to?
@Gerardus1970
@Gerardus1970 9 ай бұрын
Hi mate, The video is only for Eurovox brand models. Alpine made their own units and they are not compatible. I had a quick look at the circuit board for a C33 online and it looks like the code may be stored in an EEPROM. Since I don't have a unit here I can't offer any more info than that.

@Gerardus1970
@Gerardus1970 Жыл бұрын
It's not an EPROM, it's basically a combination of diodes the placement of which determines the code - but removing them is interpreted by the security of the on board chip as 1111 which is convenient if you don't have the code or any way of obtaining it 🙂

No mention of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. European countries specifically identified. All Asian and Islander nations grouped together. I don't think there was a mention of any African nations. But sure, great ditty demonstrating our multiculturalism. What year was the White Australia policy abolished?...
@julia393n
@julia393n 3 жыл бұрын
African immigration was not done back then, so obviously that is why they are not mentioned. They should have mentioned Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, but you are judging a 40 plus year old song by today's standards. No doubt we would include all the ones you mention were omitted if the song was written today.

I tried this and it seems to work as advertised. On my Samsung SyncMaster 940MG LCD monitor it looks okay - not really sharp and not really that much better than RF. On my Sony 1442-QM PVM it looks quite dull and washed out with default settings but a little contrast and chroma seems to cure that. Worth while doing to avoid RF inputs!
@Gerardus1970
@Gerardus1970 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your feedback. Yes results can be a bit mixed (as per the Atari 2600 A/V mod also) depending on the monitor and cable losses and also the scaling and other variables but I think overall it is worthwhile doing. Did you disconnect the RF modulator or leave it connected?
@Slaanesh2011
@Slaanesh2011 3 жыл бұрын
@@Gerardus1970 I completely removed the RF modulator which gave my plenty of space for a small self-made board. However I reused the rear half of the RF casing shell as a means of securing a second RCA plug and made an exact duplicate hole right next to where the RF cable came out in the rear of the case. With two RCA plugs, one is for video and one is for sound, the end result looks like it came out of the factory produced like this. Just wondering if the signal needs a little more amplification? I might run it over the scope and see what it looks like.
@Gerardus1970
@Gerardus1970 3 жыл бұрын
@@Slaanesh2011 Nice way of doing it. Yes please do and let me know what you find. I found the circuit presented gave an excellent result on the screens I have here but of course there are variables (including specs of the transistors). I did try an extra transistor and also a circuit with variable resistors to try to adjust the bias and the best results were with the values and circuit shown. My main aim was to make it as simple as possible so anyone could build it. I've had positive feedback thus far so I think I have met that aim. Thank again.
@Slaanesh2011

@@Gerardus1970 Whilst I haven't put a scope to it yet, I think the quality of composite is probably as good as it gets. If you look at the Dragon 32, also an MC6847 based computer, it's converting a signal intended for NTSC into PAL and likewise doesn't have a completely perfect output.
