It is a trash masterpiece, is so badly good, I don't know how to explain myself. I played DD2 more than 100 hours and it was equally bad and good that I don't even understand what's so good or bad about it.

As minor as it may be, my biggest issue with the game is you can’t ADS with the guns. It just zooms in slightly, and that bothers me so much.

It took me until I heard u say “the dragon is cool” for me to realize that I actually don’t hate the dragon because even though he literally killed everyone including me right in front of me, he’s cool

I love the way this game hates you as a player and the ARPG as a genre all at once and still develops an unique (better or worse, good or bad, jewel or trash) fun to play ARPG... but that's on me because I'm broken 😅

A punishing save system is for immersion purposes, as in having consequences. But if I want consequences, I would just...not play a game? Having good story and game play design would be better for immersion, not stupid consequences that make you waste time undo your previous actions.

Dragons Dogma had.........4 Arisen?(Duke, Dragonforged, Damon and You.) Sure they had Abandoned their destiny and the actual charge is yours and yours alone. So for all we knew we could've taken the Duke's deal from the first game and a new one has now come forth.

Honestly.......As a fan of the Franchise: Mechanically it checked all the boxes and i didnt really have any issues with it. Needed more variation of creatures and hopefully we still get a BBI style DLC to fix that just like the original. To me its a more refined version of the story the New Game+ concept is interesting but again, i didnt really feel a need to get gear like the original game.....so it was purely just grinding vocation levels in order to create a custom Wayfarer build to get close to an Assassin again.....i miss Assassin

Instead of fixing, improving what fans hate from the original game. They decided to do the same plot and keeps everything in it. You can even called this Dragon Dogma remaster 2024, it's not a new game, it's the same game same plot but improved in graphic.

My main issue with this game is Bethesda forgot that this is not Skyrim, this is not fallout 4, but this is a new franchise of which people has no speck of knowledge or idea .... Still you start the storyline the same as them..... I don't know about others but I don't get any kind of grand or majestic feeling from the constellation as the game make it to be.......

whats funny is they almost completely fixed it then when the phantom liberty expansion dropped they broke it again lol. Like its incredibly easy to crash the game using stealth and quickhacks on targets now lol.

Finally finished the game in my own leisurely time. I've been wanting to watch this retrospective since day one and am super excited to hear a detailed well put together description in an honest critique of our shared experience. Update: after watching, while while i dont agree with you on everything I can honestly say 90% of what you said about the game from the story and how everyone already trats you like the greatest thing ever since sliced bread, to the mechanics (how at forst i hated them only to later love them like the campsights for instance hated them at first till i realized how intresting the mechanic actually was. (P.S. whole heartedly agree on the fast-travel port crystal thing), the "outfit parts" being locked while others aren't basef on classes, the final "boss" (before whatever DLC gets released), the "who. the. Fiddlegritty blabermoth is this guy the Dragon is clutching? I do not give a single care about this person." For the most part I agree with you on most of it, and while you had no way of predicting that a select few points made in this video would be "patched" by capcom, I will say one grip about this game is how overpowered certain skills are while other skills are underpowered or to be more accurately *classes*, and the overall lack of difficulty I expierenced in the game after reaching the midgame point i wish it was more difficult, but thats not to say that the combat doesn't feel good (with the exception of "those" skills) its great its just easy. Still can use makers arrow to one shot the Dragon. Ultimately to sum it all up, Great Job on the video it was well made and felt like you took the time to flush out as much of the content as you could to provide a true in-depth retrospective of this game much appreciated.

Cool review! Thing about the on-foot travel is that the story you explain with the archery quest can only happen so many times so once you hit the mid/end game the map stops presenting this opportunity because you know where things are and how the world works. Then it's just tedious. The game hasn't got the dynamic world change to accommodate this type of adventure for as long as the game wants it to be Also, the 2nd map is so overpopulated with random small enemy groups that it takes a lot of the enjoyment of exploring and feels more like a beat-em up. While the day/night cycle is cool in aesthetics, in reality it just gives you the option to fight 2 other special monster types and skeletons. There simply has to be more for the game to warrant the 60-70 hour adventure. 12 years of time to design this and I'm still fighting goblins/harpies/dogs/bandits for 70% of the game.

Elden Ring has the most interesting open world map to explore, and the most satisfying rewards, you can find really good weapons, Ashes, spells, key items...etc by just walking around let alone the various dungeons, and caves, and catacombs, or just bosses walking around. All that coupled with one of the best and most satisfying combat systems out there, and even then they were not pretentious enough to force players to walk everywhere because they designed a very very good open world. You can fast travel freeliy from the start of the game and game gives you a fast movement option which is torrent. What DD2 director said is true I really wouldn't mind all that much if ER didn't have fast travel or limited fast travel, but unfriendly DD2 director was not up to the task of creating an interesting world that the need for fast travel is diminished.

It's trash if you want to play as a mage.

I have few comments, to this realy good review: - first, the story isn't that great, But I think it's better than the first. And I don't realy understand the armor-restrictions either. (especially because it's not the classic restriction of cloth - leather- metal. but completely chaotic...) - second, you have a choice, if you die: either respawn directly and accept the punishment or leave to the main menu and load from there the last save WITHOUT the punishment. - and third: you have the optioin to buy 4 different homes in the world! 2 per main city. Resting there, counts as inn-resting and costs nothing. Well, I will call the cheap one "house" and the expensive "manor" for now. Occosianaly, love-interests will intercept you at your house and force you to an escort-quest, if you want to maintain their affinity. If you see them there, just get to your manor, becaus those NPCs will only wait at you house, not at your manor. So it maybe worth it to buy both in every city, if you can afford them. - oh and fouth: you have another option to wait for an oxcart. There is sign near the oxcart-posts. If you acitvate this (instead of sitting on a bench) you will directly pass time to the point. where the oxcart will start traveling shortly after.

Also side note dd1 handled pawn deaths better because when they died to bull shit you could res them almost instantly.

What i find funny is they did exactly what you said with the dark arisen expansion in dd1 for fast travel they actually regressed with fast travel lol.

I've tried to start the game like 3 or 4 times and the only thing I remember is a bring a rock. Thats how this game is much boring. 😂

Hi Zenny, I am new to your channel: thank you so much for taking the time to carefully go through all these games and break them down into a comprehensive review and opinion that is fair as a player, I also enjoy that you correct yourself when you are wrong or misinformed... keeping your information up to date is really important for people like me that doesn't have alot of money to spend on luxuries, but who really wants every cent to be worth that luxury when it can be afforded, your videos really helps out alot when making that decision to buy a game or not, please keep up the amazing work!

it's a mediocre game with a few good points to talk about, but a farcry from the original experience and that is very sad.

It might be a small thing to some but I think the switch to third person for cutscenes really hamstrung the attachment to the villains. With the prior games the constant first person angle meant that interactions with the villains always felt more immersive and personal. To be in the story they had to be there personally and interact with you, making me feel more invested in them and also accentuating their crazy behavior. With FC6 being more like a movie, third person cutscenes and cutting away from Dani to have the villains interacting elsewhere, I felt like I had no stakes in the story. I didn’t give a shit about the villains, they were just abstract objectives to eventually check off a list after enough busywork. Super disappointing and was a factor that stopped me from being able to get into the game

The right dlc will bring this game up to epic levels. Will it happen? Let's hope

The thing I hated most about drakes, beside the awful meteorite attack, was them almost always flying away! Even though I were making a lot of damage pretty fast. It sucked my enjoyment out of finding and fighting them.
